ckparrothead said:It's different if your muscles are already use to being that big. Your body has good memory in that if you've been 235 pounds of lean muscle within the past couple of years, age notwithstanding, you can probably get back to there a lot quicker than a guy who has not been at that weight yet and is trying to reach it.
In the case of Ricky's ascent from 190 pounds to 215 pounds within a month or two, he was only down to 190 as a result of sickness (I heard it was some kind of infection). He slid right back up to 205 pounds in no time, probably even was able to do that within a week or two, and slide up to 215 pounds in the remaining 3 or 4 weeks. Getting to 225 will go slower, but 3 months is practically a lifetime for a guy who has been 235 to 240 pounds of solid muscle within the past year or two.
That is dead on Parrot.
A lot of people don't know that.
There is an old weight training saying that muscles have memory and like you pointed out, it is MUCH easier for someone to regain strength and muscle tone they built once before than it is for someone to build new strength and muscle tone levels.
