I like Philbin, but man is he stiff. It looked like he read his comments before being doused.
I like him too and I'm pulling for him to be here long term. Hope it all works out. It looks to me like he was reading too. That's one thing he needs to not do in the locker room is read his notes while giving his post game speech. Saw him fired up once...may have been the Atlanta win or the Cheatriots win, but he didn't have his cue card to check off of and spoke naturally. The team was fired up too, probably because of the game as well as Joe getting more emotional, but you reach your audience when they know you mean it. They know you mean it when you don't need to check over your notes.
He can be dry, reserved, all of that. But I think he just has to do what he told Tannehill to do last year and "just let it rip".
