Philbin is a brutal head coach.

If Billichek is coaching the Dolphins with this EXACT same team he beats the Pats ten times out of ten.

You are exactly right. If Belichick were coaching this exact same roster, with this quarterback, this team is probably a Super Bowl contender, even with the piss poor offensive line. Watching the Broncos the last 2 weeks, watching them right now, it's obvious the bloom is coming off that rose and Fox is starting to betray his ineptitude. Manning and Manning alone is the difference between that team winning 14 games and possibly the Super Bowl and that same team winning 4-games. Sometimes it's one man that makes the biggest difference.

How in ****.....When you're running the ball well on the 31st ranked rushing defense....... And your offensive line has given up the most sacks in the league..... With a 2nd and 2 deep in Patriots territory...... Do you go EMPTY BACKFIELD and try to throw??? Why?? If nothing else is an indictment of this coaching staff..... That is. I mean at least make them THINK run. Terrible coaching job today.

This was the one that had me scratching my head. Why? Just why? Two yards. The run is working b.c. they are schemed for the pass... why play into their scheme? And two yards? Two runs, if need be.

I was just dumbfounded on that one.

Tactics and calls are one thing but the lack of passion just drives me crazy !
The team is now reflecting the coach. Leading 17-3 and then being shut out, BS Ref calls -yet no reaction. Why does JP not scream in the line judges ear for the rest of the game. Maybe just calm, cool, dignified loser

Perfectly sums it up. Did you see Belichick call the timeout before the end of the 3rd quarter so he could keep the wind behind him for one more play and then the FG after the incomplete pass??? Do you think Philbin would do that?? No chance. Philbin doesn't even know when to challenge a close play. He is clueless and useless.

I am not ready to give up Philbin yet. Besides making you feel better, I do not see any positives from berating the coach or firing the coach.

No team in the league is beating the Patriots in their house with a 10 point gift from the refs. Philbin does deserve a lot of flack for losing to Buffalo off the bye but if you're gonna fire coaches every time they lose to Belichick and Brady in their house then you're gonna be firing a lot of coaches.

The Buffalo loss was devastating but you don't have to make up for it by winning one of the hardest games on the schedule (the hardest by far when the refs chip in), he does have to make up for it though and lucky for him there are still plenty of opportunities.
