Well, I guess you could say being in the "playoff race" with a horrendous offensive line was a positive. I also think there were signs of developing a Green Bay type passing game. That could materialize with better offensive line play. I think Miami started games well which speaks to preparation. However, the team couldn't finish with speaks to lack of in-game adjustments and also having a young team.
That said, I'd be ready to move on. When I first became a fan what really impressed me was the passion the team played with. We need a coach who can bring that. I know Tom Landry was more like Joe Philibin personality-wise and that worked out for Dallas. But Landry was also one of the great innovators in the sport. I haven't seen that from Phillibin.
