I see a lot of Philbin supporters still out there. In an effort to help us better understand that point of view, please cite some tangible examples of some of his coaching moves (game day or otherwise) that gives you hope he could someday guide a team to a championship.

GO! GO GO!

"He helped the team stay together through Bullygate." That's all I got for positives.

Fire Ireland first and let a new GM decide his fate.

The #1 answer is usually "he kept the team together after Bully Gate"

I agree with Mad Dog. I think all I'd add is that the only situation in which I actively support Philbin is the "the alternative is Eric Mangini" scenario.

I wouldnt classify myself as a supporter, but I'm in the frame of mind of giving a coach 3 years to succeed.

edit: Oh, and I feel like a new coaching staff would do nothing but set us back another two years.

Normally I agree but after seeing how ill prepared this team was in weeks 16-17, I don't have a lot of confidence in how Philbin handles the coaching staff and players.

Posts like these are exactly why you will never get a decent conversation going at Finheaven. I'd really like to respond to the OP, but I cant even take this site seriously anymore...

Let's read your reasons for supporting Philbin, then.

Much easier to bash on other people than it is to actually offer a reason?

I can agree with week 17, but I just feel like the Bills D line is just that much better than our Oline.

And that being said, if our Oline wasnt in shambles, we'd have had a better season. I still think we're close to being a playoff team.
