Philip Merling on the Trade Block

Fasano is nothing special and we have have absolutely no one beyond him at Tight End right now.

Fasano does not get enough credit on this board... So the guy dropped a few balls but how many times he made key catches for us??? If we get a TE that can stretch the field, you guys will love Fasano....

Virgil Green is the one you'd have a better shot at obviously... Julius Thomas has probably locked up his roster spot, and has been the most impressive all throughout training camp...

I actually made a thread about some of the prospects I liked, and how they were performing in training camps around the league... Julius Thomas was one of 'em.

Green is interesting, definitely. Denver runs the same basic offensive system as us so he wouldn't be starting over mentally, either. And didn't Ty Warren just get injured?

I will say it AGAIN...Omar Kelly report. False as a sci-fi movie.

How about the Lions with Tony Scheffler? I get that they have a great line but do they have any depth?

The Packers lost their DE Cullen Jenkins to the Eagles....maybe they would be willing to deal their backup QB (Matt Flynn) for Merling. Nahhhhh, it will never happen. I still remember the game Flynn had against the Patriots where he looked great.

wouldnt surprise me but then again, a squirrel finds a nut. I think anyone can figure out Merling is out man out. Then again, if I wanted the rest of the league to know merling is on trade block, i would blab it to omar/mando. they twitter every 2 minutes.

Anyone watching Martellus Bennett can tell the guy is all talent with no brain or drive.
They constantly design plays for him, whether it be a TE screen, play action on the goal line, or goal line fades and he never fails to come up without the ball.

He would be a total waste to spend anything to bring him in, even trading him for our waste, Merling.

sounds like it would be a pretty good trade then. trade our d line trash for a piece of tight end trash. get it done

I wonder how many TE's NE has? I mean, BBhas drafted like 20 in the last five years.
