Phins attend Manziel's final home game

I think we were there for Jake Matthews and Mike Evans as both would fill huge needs (Jake at OT, Evans with a big WR that can win balls in the air).

As for Johnny Football, word is he's as good as gone from A&M reports suggest that he doesn't even go to class anymore and is only in College Station for football practice and games.

I still have images of that Patty White hit from the Steelers happening to Manziel...now that was a hit & the rest as they say is history.

If we're gonna invest more time in Ryan, then besides the obvious needs with our OL, i'd love to get Mike Evans to pair with Tanne, that kid's a beast.

If he does a couple of back to back spin moves in the league, he's bound to end up in intensive care because NFL d linemen will be salivating to crush him.

As far as the diva attitude, if he rounds off the edges a bit, it will translate to leadership. He naturally has that moxie and competitiveness that will get the locker room to follow him in a good way.

I am still concerned about his ability to stand stong in the pocket and throw bullets the way Tannehill can. I need to see more on this point.

He's worth studying, though. But I don't see Miami bailing on Tannehill after two seasons, unless the new staff is really down on him, so this is academic.

he's gone allen iverson at bethel high school...i played against ai in football and hoops growing up and the guy only showed for games pretty much and a occasional practice... surrounded by 35 women

he's got a big ego for sure, but my understanding is that he HATES college station (went there because they were the biggest school that offered him a chance to play QB) and his hatred has only intensified because the students were livid that he had the audacity to go to Texas for a party this summer.

I believe the kid will have success in the NFL, I'm just not sure how long it will last.

The Dolphins already have a character problem due to a lack of quality leadership both on and off the field. Manziel is more likely to add to that problem rather than make it better. Besides, with as many needs as we have on both sides of the ball, this pick would only make sense if management has totally given up on Tannehill, and I haven't see anything to indicate that's the case.

Something tells me scouting was for the two OT's

Jake Matthews and Cedric Ogbuehi.

With the way draft is moving, I would not be surprised to see Jake fall out of top 5 spot.

that's pretty much exactly my thought as well...come out like a house of fire be a big name that's on everyones tongue start taking hard contact and start falling off...

Hopefully they were looking hard at Mike Evans, that kid would make any Qb look a lot better!

yeah the d's awful...he does get the benefit though of playing with one elite tackle and a solid one at least though...not saying that he doesn't make magic happen cause he does...but he's also got an easy out mismatch wr in evans who just dwarfs dbs and anytime he needs to he can just throw it up and he goes and gets it...got a lot to work with...

that kids a playmaker though...i just wish he was bigger...he can make people miss and look silly even but when those mack trucks in the nfl hit him well i think it's gonna add up...

still that offense a & m runs is not one that will not translate and that will help him...

Instincts, quickness/agility, vision, and ball placement are all elite, and a lot of the stuff they run out of empty sets will translate. In close games late, they basically ask him to be QB Eagles, and they run a lot of empty. Most of the time, he gets the ball out of his hands very quickly (underrated part of his game) and accurately. Not talking about you, but I think a lot of people are still basing their opinions on his 2012 tape. Based on the QB's I've seen this year, Manziel is easily the best pocket passer.

There's no way that THIS staff would draft Manziel, but how many of us want THIS staff back?

Ireland is that you?

I can't confirm or deny these accusations.

It's remarkable that most media draft boards still have Mariota ahead of Manziel. I would love to see someone try to justify that stance.
