Phins attend Manziel's final home game

which team do you think takes a chance with him? Bucs, Jags, Vikes, Raiders or even the Steelers?

The Dolphins won't since we've already invested into T-Hill

The Eagles. He could run Chip Kelly's hurry up offense.

Quick thing about Manziel when speaking of arm strength. I don't think anyone is saying he's got a cannon. I think it's about on par with Brees, but it's rare that you see Brees throw off balance; even on the move, Brees always finds a good base. The point is that it's good enough. Also, people underrate his quick release. He ****s the ball like a Rodgers, Brady, Marino and gets it out in a hurry. That quick release combined with his ball placement and anticipation should be more than enough to overcome a good-enough arm. I've also never seen a college QB do a better job of throwing his WR's open.

A QB can get hit just as hard or harder staying in the pocket when he's oblivious to his surroundings. Tannehill has probably taken more shots in 9 games this year than Manziel has taken his whole career. Tannehill has only missed (most of) one game in his career, and it happened when he was in the pocket. How does Russell Wilson do it?
I'd be shocked if Manziel isn't great unless his arm just really blows. Poise, vision, decisive action are attributes that translate to any arena.

Tell me what about Manziel indicates that he would fail. You think he wouldn't put in the work? I think he would because his ego would demand that he play well, and that requires putting in the work. Tannehill gets praise all the time for his smarts and work ethic, yet he makes mental mistakes all the damn time.

Seems to me that the Dolphins office is more than likely having doubts about RT.

Probably looking to pick him up if he falls to the second of third round...kinda like you guys did.

That's one of the funny things about some of his detractors. They want these super-humble, ultra-competitive guys. There aren't many out there - regardless of how well people think some of them hide it.

Better value in the 2nd round for sure, he doesn't get passed Minnesota if he falls.

We'll see...his off the field and personality issues are something that may be a problem for him going early.

Ryan Tannehill went #8 as did Jake Locker. Neither proved he could play at a high level. But a special talent and GREAT player like Manziel will fall to the 2nd because he has a little Broadway Joe to him?

Some of you younger guys may not remember Fran Tarkenton of the Vikings, but I have seen comparisons to him. Tark was probably shorter than Manziel but he was slippery like a snake. I recall one time when Tark ran in the opposite direction four times on one play and he probably ran 30 yards backwards before he let fly with a long completion. You just couldn't bring him down.

as do i...and pretty early too...but i wouldn't want to be the fan of the team that takes mariota...

i'm good with what we got

I agee, out of all three Mariota I wouldn't touch. It will be interesting to see if Famous Jameis declares next year. Now that is guy worth dumping your season for like Luck. Whats your opinion on him so far??

The Plusses:

1. He's had a better career than Tannehill had at A&M.
2. He's more mobile and a better runner than Tanny.
3. He's fearless, and a great competitor.

The Minuses:

1. He seems to act pretty immature at times.
2. His mobility works in college but it may get him hurt in the pro's.
3. He's not the biggest QB around....kind of built like Drew Brees.

BUT....I might be willing to maybe give him a shot. He would give Tanny and Moore/Devlin some competition.

We would just make him into a pocket passer
and hand/leg cuff him
