You did keep going on about it...and still do.

Really good pick up I think, although people say our free agency was quiet, which is true. We have made solid signings this year in Marshall, Hicks, and now Naanee.

Adds depth and nonexpensive. Also was a starter.

Started 26 games in the last 5 years. I mean Chad Henne was a starter, Joe Berger was a starter.
2 million for a guy that couldnt beat out two not exactly elite rookies in Cleveland there is nothing solid about that.

Exactly, you could have had Eric Winston and the RT would have been set in stone for years he signed a 4 year 22 million or 5.5 a year. If you subtract the 2mil you are paying Hicks and the money you freed up from Bell that still leaves you room. Not to mention I would be willing to bet they could have signed him for a first year salary of 3.5mil.

But hey we got Hicks at a bargain of 2mil so...............

Naane's not a bad pickup, he's got some upside.

Hicks, maybe he'll end up like Jamie Nails.

Like Jamie Nails, you mean always injured??? I have to admit that Jamie Nails was very very good when he was healthy...

Hicks contract is actually $1.2 million, with the ability to earn up to a maximum of $800,000 in bonus money. If he is earning that bonus money it probably means he is better than any of us think and has earned a bigger role than just depth. If not, his deal is much closer to $1 million than $2 million.
