Tony Martin; 1st time around.

Lets see we held him for a year or 2, tutor him, coach him up, and then let him got where he has a few all pro caliber years! We really dropped the ball there. Marino would have worked magic with Martins deep speed early in his career just as saps like Jeff George and Stan Humpheries did.

And then we bring him back when hes an old man and his best years are behind him. Bleepin brilliant.

Martin couldn't hold onto the ball first time he was here. That's why we let him go.

couldn' think of anybody  , but here's list of people IMO who stayed way too long:

Paul Lankford
William Judson
Tony Martin (i know he left and was actually productive in SD, but was worthless here both times)
Tom Ollivadotti
Tim Ruddy
Jonathan Ogden
Wanny
Our strength and conditioning coach, John Gamble

I wish we had Ruddy for one more year.

Troy Vincent
Marco Coleman
OGUN (Damn you Rosenhaus!)
Surtain

I`ll never forget losing Csonka, Kiick and Warfield to the WFL, I`ve still got the SI issue with them on the cover in their new WFL uniforms. Losing to Oakland in the `74 playoffs was so tough because they had announced their intentions of leaving prior to the start of the `74 season. That Raider game was the hardest loss I`ve ever had to take.

More current list would include Irving Fryar, Troy Vincent, Roy Foster and Marco Coleman. Tim McKyer too, man he ran some smack, probably wasn`t on Shulas good side either, but he played well for us in 1990.
