WORST starting corner tandem in NFL history...:fire:

Oh so true....and so sad to remember. I think having them made me appreciate Surtain and Madison even more

No we traded him to the skins for I forget who...

Theisman was our 4th round pick in 1971. But, with Bob Griese already on the team, Theisman wanted more money than we would give him. Theisman chose to sign with the CFL. We wound up getting Washington's 1976 1st round pick for him. We used that pick on LB Larry Gordon. Gordon was a helluva good player, but died tragically at the age of 28.

We drafted a Hall of famer that we did not keep.

QB Joe Theisman

Theisman refused to play for us. that's why he went to canada to play in the CFL.

Tony Martin; 1st time around.

Lets see we held him for a year or 2, tutor him, coach him up, and then let him got where he has a few all pro caliber years! We really dropped the ball there. Marino would have worked magic with Martins deep speed early in his career just as saps like Jeff George and Stan Humpheries did.

And then we bring him back when hes an old man and his best years are behind him. Bleepin brilliant.

Add A. Carter, Del Rio (Why the heck was he not made a coach on our staff after he played 1 or 2 of his final years here!?!?!).

well then what about lamar smith fumbling in the same game when we down by there 10 yard line?
weaver touched the ball like twice that game and he fumbled. smith touched it like i dont know 20 times and you expect a running back to fumble it now and then.

Brian Griese, he could have been our starter right now...

Also Im a big Brock Marion fan, and Lamar Thomas was one of my favorites at UM and with the 'Phins...3TD game vs Denver Monday Night was a great game.
