players want to play in miami

no doubt the fins are more attractive with Saban...

But honestly, were there any big name free agents this year?

Big name agents come with big contracts, and as a our cap is now I don't think Saban wants to have a huge contract. Surtain was traded because of his value in free agency but more importantly his contract is pretty big.

What else do we need?

Tell me, cause I don't know..

Nick said back-up Rb.

and we started out horribly, partly cause of a new coach, partly cause of Bledsoe, and partly cause of not playing Willis.

Needs:
LT
Backup RB
DT
more production from DE (too much blitzing needed to get pressure)

Questionable areas:
Center, LG (both average at best)
QB
3rd & 4th WRs
TE
FS (Vincent has no experience)
Depth in many areas (especially LB, secondary, OL)

You need to remember that no team makes it through the season injury free. You backup LBs have almost no playing experience. Rashad Baker got smoked when he played. Coy Wire is a major weakness. Your OL backups have either no experience (Peters, MacFarland) or suck (Pucillo, Smith). Backup RBs are a total joke.

I know what the players are...

Vincent would be starting at FS or #2 CB on your team...

He can still play, he would have been the starter at Cb last year before McGee came on after TV's injury.

Our secondary has over 85 career INt's and something like 14 probowls between them, you'll see.

Did you take debating lessons from JustaSportsFan?

I stated that Vincent is old and inexperienced at FS. Both are true statements. Try to stay on topic.

Yes think, but dont' know, I liked Holcomb also but he coudln't beat out Couch and Garcia on a bad Cleveland team so he may not be as good as you think.
but you know? Excuse me, the Browns came out and said Holcomb was their starter but the bills beat them to it. He'd rather back-up JP than be the starter for the Browns. That's when they went out and got Dilfer.

Anway I didn't say you need a QB I said it's possible, everyone is counting on JP to be the next star, and he just may be, but IIRC I remember hearing the same thing about Rob Johnson.
According to whom? Wade Philipps? He's not an OC. His buddy Sheppard was the only one who thought so. I hated they guy and knew Flutie was better.

Oh great. I stayed away from your post and yet to try to take my attention. There isn't anything you can say about me Wannyfaninbuffalo. The great Wanny defender who left the boards after Wanny left and decided to show up just now. The guy who makes a statement and run away after challenged w/ a bet.

Sorry, you got owned last year. I was right about practically everything we debated on. Your boy Wanny is now in Pitts. Hated by finfans all over.

miami is also attractive to free agents because there is no state income tax. when you make a mil or 2 a year, the lack of a state income tax means alot more money. teams like the jags, bucs, texans, cowboys also benifit from this.

Mike Pucillo isn't on the team anymore. Troy Vincents first game as a FS.
! INT. I sack. I fumble recovery.

No I don't know, nobody does. It's a toss up, he may light the league on fire or he may have rookie growing pains. If he does wind up sucking you are left with only Holcomb. Anyway I was just stating it could turn out that you may need a QB.

Maybe you hated the guy but a majority of the fans didn't when he first arrived, hell he was being anointed the next Jim Kelly before he ever played a down.

If people didn't like him there wouldn't have been the big split among Bills fans, sort of like the Fiedler/Feeley situation  .

Flutie with out a doubt was much better, I don't know why Ralph couldn't see that.

Shulters is a better FS then Vincent... sorry to burst your bubble

Vincent is a better, smarter football player than Shulters ever was...

He'll be fine at FS... had a sack, and INt, and a Fumble his first game at the position (against CLE, but oh well)

Shulters was good...3 years ago.

Question is would you be saying this if Vincent was still on the Fins?

He had potential. I was already a member of bb.com and BBI then and most of the bills fans leaned towards Flutie. Have you heard of FlutieMania. There wasn't a Johnson Mania was there?

There was a split because some wanted Flutie and some were blinded by his fame. He was fun to watch but he wasn't the answer either. Other wanted him even if he wasn't. Others just wanted to move on but didn't necesarily like Robosack either.

Yes but Flutiemania didn't start until Rob stunk up the joint, and Doug got to play. Regardless if you like Flutie or not he accomplised two things,

1) He was the major cause of Moulds breakthrough, before the season there was talk that he was a bust and would possibly be cut.

2) He kept the team in Buffalo, if it wasn't for "Flutiemania" that team was history.

You team needs to ask NFL.com to update their depth charts.

You still have no depth.

I don't think the bills Front Office cares that NFl.com hasn't updated the roster.
Our depth on the O-Line sucks? Take a look at your teams depth at OL.
