thisIf GB and Houston weren't enough evidence our team doesn't belong in the playoffs, I don't know what else to say.
We would be lucky to win 1 out of the next 3 games.
Just take the higher draft pick and move on.
35 years? Damn. I thought maybe since Marino retired in 2000 but we been dismissal for 35 years? Okay.i think i know why this is happening we have been a one dimensional team for 35 years and we dont keep our best players long enough all while keeping guys who fall down if the wind blows our coaches turn to putty and they never coach to win and by coaching not to lose we let other teams back into games and beats the main exception is Jaggs game in 2000 . since last year McDaniel has become too conservative so the solution is to simply go for the throat and show no mercy . the first thing I would do is go get Mike Westhoff even if he is older and let him be the oc. then hire Tony Nathan as Special teams coach . the problem is who could we get as defensive coordinator ?
We have been embarrassed enough this season. We looked like dog **** in KC last year after we choked away the division title and would look worse this year.Dont want to make the playoffs just to get destroyed yet again
I hate to say it, but 3 straight losses to close out the season may do 2 things:
It may get Grier + MickeyD sh*t-canned and it may get us a better draft pick!
Hard to root against my team and during these last 3 games I know I won't, but I just want those 2 clowns gone!
You said you were pretty confident and now that’s called a fact. I don’t think you even know what you’re talking about.
I'll admit it, I've been rooting against us for most of the season... not bc of the draft pick, but becuase of Grier.I hate to say it, but 3 straight losses to close out the season may do 2 things:

I feel like the "sophmoric humor" jab, hit a little too close to home for me personally.I am also in agreement with many people on this forum, Grier and McDaniel should be let go. Whether Grier is just getting the players McDaniel wants or a combination of other factors, it just isn’t working. I’m not impressed with the two playoff appearances, either. In my view, the team IS soft, has no heart (except for a few), and has no business potentially squeaking into the playoffs, only to elicit more time for the current leadership to remain at the helm.
I empathize with other Fins fans about how difficult this season has been, especially after it looked like we were trending upwards. I do think there is a cycle and Miami will return to its glory days once again. I’m 50 so I obviously have no idea when that will be. I can tell you that I have, as I think some posters already have, distanced myself from the team and my fandom. I even support those that have decided to take time away from the team and focus on more important and more meaningful things in life.
While I would love to see the Dolphins in the playoffs every year, win multiple Super Bowls, and return to the team we want, it is evident to me that change has been needed and I’m not sure that potentially falling backwards into a playoff appearance is what would be beneficial in changing things for the better. This is just my $.02.
This, I believe, is only my second or so post as I thoroughly enjoy reading from many others here that have forgotten more football than I’ll ever know. I very rarely post as I’m not that knowledgeable. I’m just an observer of things. Whether I personally agree with everyone is moot. The one thing that does cause me to stay away from the forum is the posts that seem to attack or label others. It is a huge turnoff for me, and I’m sure others. I’m not a “Lemming” (quite frankly that is just an annoying term), nor a bandwagon fan, or a pessimist. I was once that fan who threw the remote at the television, kicked things when the Dolphins lost or made a bad play, and stayed mad the whole week. It was unproductive for me and now I watch, root, and hope for the best from a more casual perspective. It doesn’t mean my fandom is any less, only a less emotionally involved seat in the proverbial stands.
I digress. I enjoy the totality of football and if Miami is in the playoffs, I root for them. And if they somehow get in this year, I’ll be there watching and cheering them on with you. In the meantime, thank you allowing me to say my peace. There are an abundance of wonderful posters who bring expert analysis, observations, points of views I never thought of, and comedic (albeit somewhat sophomoric) humor to the site. Whatever your stance on the team and their playoff chances this year, I do sincerely hope your fandom can continue to enrich your life and not detract from it!

I took no disrespect. I was just joking around@MrChadRico,
Thank you for your post. I really appreciate it. I do apologize if you took my "sophomoric humor" comment the wrong way I intended. I actually have laughed out loud to many, many comments of posters. I meant no disrespect to you, or anyone else.
I respect your passion and energy for change within the organization and do believe you just want the very best for the team in the most heartfelt way! Whatever happens, playoffs or not, I appreciate your knowledge, sense of humor, and deep love for the team. Much respect to you!
I never want anyone to feel I'm disrespecting them. The different ideas, suggestions, years of fandom, and deep desire for wanting the Dolphins to win is what keeps us all united. I have much respect for everyone on this board.
For meI struggle to understand why limping backwards into a playoffs and then getting buttf'd is a good thing for some of you.
