Playoffs 2018

I think it's all wishful thinking. The Steelers just hung 42 on that vaunted defense. Brady isn't going to turn the ball over like Big Ben does, which accounted for a chunk of the Jag's points. It won't be a blow out, but one of those QBs is going to have to make a play and I know it's not going to be Bortles.
But Rothlisberger is known to make sandlot plays on the run. Brady is not. Brady needs a clean pocket or clean play action. He gets more flustered and makes more mistakes when he is under constant pressure. That's what pisses me off as a Dolphins fan. We know how to beat the Brady and the Pats yet for almost 2 decades we do cannot manage to field a competitive team.

Have you seen what happens to Brady when he has no time to throw? Big Ben has experience against the Jags D and is great when SHTF....Brady not so much. Brady will get injured on Sunday.

Early on I fully expect that D and specifically D-Line to give Brady problems. On the other side that Pats D is defintely going to scheme for that Jags O and cause a few errant throws by Bortles (did I just say throws and Bortles?).

Point being we all know the Patriots know how to adjust and will eventually start figuring out the Jags D. Especially in the back half of that secondary that allowed a deep TD with a few seconds left in the Pitts game.

It will be close early but the Patriots will out gain the Jags.

Shame to say but the Patriots are going to another Superbowl.

20-13 for Jags with Brady having a career ending injury in the first half.

Brady doesn’t make the throws that Ben made. Ben is notorious for making wild throws like those on the run. Plus, Ben has more weapons and a better line.

Now I feel bad for the guy... just such a bad play... was he worried about getting a flag with a big hit?

Yeah, but I don't want to go a conspiracy route. But while this would indicate his reaction would indicate he didn't bet for himself as he probably wouldn't have been so heartbroken for the missed tackle. But he's young only 20, and it can happen. Makes me wonder if he's caught up with mob involvment or when young and stuck with it.

That would make sense where he'd miss the tackle, but be upset, because he let his teammates down, and didn't want to do that, but had to. Idk, because I keep watching it and he had to literally make extra effort to not hit Diggs. And then the fact that the vegas bets went for vikings to win by 5, even though they were an underdog and the score was set up perfectly for the vikings to win by 5 points if they get a td at last second, not a fg. It's the kind of miss you do if you're trying to make it like you're trying to make a tackle and not make it obvious but still allow for the td.

I don't feel sorry for the Saints. Ever since that game against us where they turned the game on a TD which was a fumble out of the end zone they can go to hell.
Haha. I didn’t say I feel sorry for them. And yeah sharper only fumbled at like the 4 yard line w the ref right there.

Exactly! If the Jags can hit Brady often and shut down Gronk, game over! The Jags are the team that Brady didn’t want to face. They already had a gameplan for the Steelers. Plus, it might be **** weather which isn’t good for throwing.

Williams was one of the top tacklers in his rookie year. He missed 5 tackles all season. The 6th was a killer.

If Brady could not play your 4 QBs for the Conference Championship games are:
Foles, Keenum, Bortles and Hoyer.

Let that sink in for a minute. :laugh

Sexy qb championship match up right there ha. But we all know Brady will play and I wonder how hurt Brady is. Belicheck and his "injury" list, with guys who are so hurt and magically not just play but seem fine during the game. Brady might have an injured hand and might be bad, but the Patriots can be good with their mind games too

Can you just imagine the chaos if Brady could not play and Hoyer screws up or if Brady has to play because Hoyer is not trusted enough to win and they lose with Brady. That Garoppolo trade would come back to haunt them and I can imagine that Belichick would be seriously pissed. :laugh
The offseason theater would be an added bonus tothe pats not repeating. :biggrin

I don't believe any of this with Brady's hand. I bet it's just mind games from Belichick.

Yep. How many years in a row was Brady ALWAYS listed on the injury report? Either as probable or questionable? Its just the Pats ****ing with people because they can.

I think the injury in real, just not very serious. The consensus is he was throwing well yesterday with or without a glove. If Jacksonville spent one second preparing for Brian Hoyer the whole staff should be fired now.

I think I would treat Brady like anoodle armed QB until he can show me he’s fine. Crowd the line, play tight and try to force tougher throws.

I still think NE wins. This great Jags defense gave up 42 to Pittsburgh, 44 to SF and 37 to Tennessee who swept them. They also gave up 23 to Josh McCown and the Jets in a losing effort and lost to a bad Cardinals team. Because they swept them and have the better QB, slightly I don’t like either Bortles or Mariota, you could argue the Titans are better and NE made easy work of them.

The biggest mismatch on the field is the one nobody is talking about. Jags offense VS Pats defense lol. The pats are too smart to get beaten by Fournette. They are going to make Jacksonville beat their strong secondary to win. I don’t think there is a chance in holy hell that happens. NO CHANCE!

This is an NE blowout unless Brady is awful and the Jags defense goes nuts. Than it’s still close. I’m going to guess Brady is fine.

Pats 31
Jags 10
