Please listen to M.Irvin show with J.Dukes

your not man, most of these guys hating on the irvin's show dont even listen and is holding on to what they heard irvin has done in the past. Some people cant get past peoples past personal issues so they just tune them out forever and miss out on being educated. Irvin is a very insightful dude who speaks from a player stand point. He speaks as an insider and not from an analyst who thinks they know how things are and should be run. Irvin knows what he is talking about and I listen to his show all the time.

I don't hate Michael Irvin in any sense, and I've listened to his show on numerous occassions. But, he is just difficult to listen to. He's not articulate AT ALL, which I think if you're gonna have your own radio show, that should be the first pre-requisite. He sounds like a bumbling jock; What..I..see..in..Davonne..Bess..is..eh..eh..erh..argh..argh..extra...or...di...na..ry". I honestly feel bad for him sometimes, he's so bad.

Its not really about Michael irvin thinking we should have sought out VY but more about us not going out and fixing an area that needs major help. And the moves made thus far is just baffling. If your talking about upgrading the qb position, tell me how bringing in matt moore and devlin is upgrading. If henne goes down, we put our faith in brandstater and devlin? or Matt Moore? Even Orton, if you want orton go get orton, they wanted marshall and went out and over paid for he and dansby right? So, out of all the qb options out there you bring in who we have now? come on. Thats the bigger converstation that took place. it wasnt that vy was our guy and the eagles took him from us. It was the fact that we went completely incompetent in selecting a qb.

To anyone who wanted Orton but dismissed V. Young, I have to question your intelligence.

I didn't/don't want either.

I am not going to waste my time listening to those clueless idiots.

Vince Young? Ryan Mallett? Chad Henne might not be good, but he is better than those two guys. Heck, I would even go as far to say that any team would be better off with Matt Moore as their starter than either of these guys.

Still can't believe people thought Mallett was a 1st round prospect. What buffoons.

Did you just say Henne is better than V.Young hell and even Mallett as a Rookie? Unreal!

Like I said man, I listen to words. I cant discredit a man because he messed up in the past. He talks about dealing with his issues in the past and irvin is a way more mature individual than you think with respect to his past set backs. All Entertainment aside he is very insightful..More insightful than entertaining in my eyes. Kevin kiley and he made a great team on that show.
I understand what you are saying but wow, the guy is very hard to follow when he talks. IMO, he is smashed most of the time. I respect him as the player he was but as a broadcaster ? No, sorry, cannot even listen to him for 1 minute. Feels like I am being dragged over shards of glass then have gasoline thrown on me and then set on fire.

Sorry man, I understand just fine what he is saying. So does his callers and his co hosts and anyone else who interacts with the show. I cant tell that he is intoxicated. Doubt he'd still be on if that was the case right?

Irvin is not that bad cant expect former players to be English teachers..
Also his #s are probably pretty good because he comes off as authentic
and his passion for the U keeps those fans listening as well..
As naps mentioned he gives you a players perspective not some armchair qb
who never played ball..And lets get back to the heart of what Irvin was saying
the dolphins should be turning over every stone looking for a QB how can you dispute this?

As a football player, where does Mallett fall short of a 1st RD grade?

He is slow, poor accuracy on passes beyond 15 yards, MAJOR off the field issues among other issues. Not to mention that he was passed on by QB needy teams two times and in some cases three times. If the Patriots didn't grab him in the 3rd, there was strong talk he wasn't going to get drafted until the 4th or 5th round. Mallett does not translate to the pros well and will either be a career backup or out of the league within 4-5 years.
