Plummer

Denver is like Miami, they won't be satisfied until they get their next Elway. I lived in Denver in the early 80's and we hated Elway and wanted to get rid of him. Jake is a decent QB but I'm not sure he is better than Lemon. We need to see more of Lemon in actual regular season action to see what he really has. He looks really good in preseason and games that don't mean much.

Say no to Jake.
He's most likely going to the texans anyway.

while i agree we need to see what we have in Lemon, i don't think anyone was advocating getting Plummer in exchange for Lemon. I think we are more talking about replacing Joey.

Well, I thought we had heard every far-fetched trade/pickup when the Seau thread broke, how about something more realistic?

Getting Jake Plummer. He's a definate upgrade from Harrington / Lemon, and if we do not pick up a QB in the draft, you think the Broncos would go for a Harrington for Plummer trade.

I would actually like it. He's not great. But it's not like we have a "great" QB right now, that is, depending on how Culpepper comes back, and who knows how he will end up.

I dont think Plummer is a bad QB...
but itd be with a losers metality, to go and get him, and try to have him win for us as our QB...Denvers discards. I don't see Denver swapping for Harrington, and I don't think his value right now, may be equivalent to Lemons potential. Plummers been around, and he's probably as good as he's gonna get, yet he may still go somewhere else and start. The team he plays for next season, shouldn't be very good, unless its the Bears. I just don't see him coming in here.

Plummer sucks.
If he goes to Houston, they would be better off trading a 4th round pick for Carr.
At least Carr is young and still has potential that Cameron might bring out.

No more retreads!!!!!!! Carr, Plummer, Blue skies, we need to get serious about the QB position or its going to be the same crap.....different year.

Culpep gets 1 more year to prove himself. In the meanwhile we should be developing the future.

Plummer got benched!!!!!Am I the only one that saw him play?

Jake cannot make plays from the pocket. Hes got to running to be effective. No thanks

Plummer boy stinks. I don't want him here. We need to stop picking up other teams garbage.

Why would the Fins want another starting QB who lost his job since they already have two? I'm still not sure why Saban even traded for Harrington in the first place since he would have been cut by Detroit anyways, and there wasn't a line of GMs waiting to woo him, either. Has-been and never-were QBs who could make useful backups are a dime for two dozen, and you are not going to find a franchise QB on the trading block unless he's a youngster another team hasn't given a chance, and even then he's more likely to turn out to be a Rob Johnson or AJ Feeley than a Brett Favre.

Plummer's career is on the down slide. Pass. Keep Harrington.

NOPE. not the least bit interested. I'd rather see CLEO LEMON than JAKE ''THE FAKE'' PLUMMER.

Plummer was the Broncos Jay Fidler. Got the wins, just couldn't produce when needed. Great team guy, just not enough talent. Would be a slight upgrade over Joey, but he's not your answer. Draft a QB like every other team does, take some chances. I'm glad we did with Jay Cutler.

not a shabby proposal, but there are several issues here.

1) he will command a pretty high price. He is starting-QB material for many teams in this league.

2) he will prefer to go somewhere where he will be the starter. Here he would have to compete, and if DC comes back from injury ok he will be a backup for sure.

3) many in league circles already think he is going to the texans, who not only have the cap room but have the need and the familiarity with him being that Kubiak is their coach.

so while it is an interesting idea, i don't see it happening.

Maybe a better option would be to pickup David Carr if he is droped for jake. I think pep maybe done but we have to at least give him a little time to see if he can do anything. Lemon is the x factor i don't think we really know if he can be the guy every week. But droping Joey for Carr would be a good move in my opinion.
