Polian is ready to Draft RIGHT NOW...

The atmosphere around this club has become so toxic that if Ireland isn't out the door right after the draft, we're in trouble.

If you're Steve Ross, regardless of whether or not you think Jeff has done a good job or is the right man for that job, his reputation is so poisoned right now that it is not only destroying your brand image, it's immediately impacting the bottom line.

If we've still got Jeff Ireland calling the shots in June, then Ross is either incredibly stubborn or incredibly stupid.

I would hazard a guess he stays until at least October or November. Then after that I can see Philbin having a large say in who comes in next. It will take until the 3rd month of the season to properly evaluate this draft, and the previous drafts production.

Ireland sucks and the media already thinks we're dysfunctional. Who cares?
 
Everything surrounding ireland right now is just people talking. You dont fire someone because people talk bad about him. Warren sapp, Joey Porter, Ryan Clark... who cares what those guys say. Not getting manning... alot of teams that wanted him didnt get him. Not getting Flynn... we didnt appear as high on him as seattle was. Lets not make a knee jerk reaction here.

I agree that Joey Porter and Warren Sapp are idiots, but Ryan Clark definitely doesn't have a reputation like that, and that's one guy whose comments are very troubling.

The team is getting pounded from all sides. It hurts the image of our franchise, hurts our clout in the league, our ability to bring in free agents (whether you want to admit it or not, it hurts), etc.

I don't think Ross has a choice at this point if he wants to retain the team's good image.

Agreed. Lets give him another 5 years.
 
oh, and for all that is holy on this earth, please do not refer to Joey Porter as the "media". Just because he wore a suit doesn't change who is this guy really is. Who cares what they are saying at NFL network. They need to come up with stuff to talk about during the offseason to fill their one hour show. Doesn't matter if it is true or not, what matters is that you listen. So if I were you, ignore them. Most them have the intelligence of a 7th grader anyways.
