It makes too much sense for Ross to do.
For Polian? Seriously? The team that just showed it has been nothing but Manning for YEARS. A team full of quitters?

yet he did something the fins havent done since 84, got to the superbowl...with 2 teams no lessBill Polian was great in the eighties and nineties, not anymore. His teams are 1-5 in Super Bowls. That indicates to me gross deficiencies in how he goes about building a team. He had 2 Hall of Fame quarterbacks--Jim Kelly and Peyton Manning--and 1 championship. He had a Hall of Fame QB, RB and all-time great DE and got pummeled in the SB by a Redskin team no one could name a single guy off of. Ridiculous. His teams were beat in the Super Bowl by bums like Mark Rypien and Jeff Hostetler. He couldn't build a dominant defense his entire time in Indy. He hired Caldwell as head coach, a guy everyone knew was in over his head. No thanks.
the intelligence is astounding!
Let's not forget that the Fins were tied or had the lead in the fourth quarter of at least half of our losses. If we close those games out, we are a 10+ game winner and looking pretty good. My point with this is that we do have some talent but I feel that it has been wasted by Sparano...several of those losses could be directly put on his shoulders. This year is make-or-break for Ireland. If we improve with an improved coaching staff then it shows he was on the right track all along but if we fail then he gets the axe. If we win this year and show the foundations of a team on the rise, it will be amazing how quickly the negative press and stigma of playing for Miami will disappear.
