I obviously voted for #2.

Why the hell would you want the QB of your team to screw up? WHY?!?!?

I am sure every DOLPHINS fan wants the TEAM to succeed. So I apologize ahead of time if it may seem that at certain points during the year I may be more of a DOLPHINS fan and not a fan of a SPECIFIC PLAYER.

When people critique a players play, its usually because they are pissed that the guy didnt make a PLAY to help the TEAM WIN. Not because of some vendetta against the guy personally.

Whats annoying about this regime at times is something like Sparano's quote when asked about the TE's:

"Happy in that I like the group of people that are there, yes," Sparano said. "As far as the production of the group right now, no, not quite so."

So your saying they are cool dudes you can have a beer with? Great. However, the most important thing, you know on FIELD production, you dont like their production and yet you dont go out and bring in someone GOOD until you have no other choice. NOT GREAT.

No....HELL NO!!! I am not going to root for Chad Henne to flounder on the playing field, any notion that you should root for your favorite team to fail is as dumb as wiping your *** with sandpaper.

Here are a few things I am going to root for though:

Tom Brady to throw five interceptions in the two games aginst the Fins this season and get sacked just as many times!
The Bills pass rush to continue to be just as irrelevent as my ex-wife is to my current happiness!

I will be rooting for a comet to blast from the sky and hit that fat-*** Rex Ryan right in the ****ing mouth to shut it up once and for all!

I'm not confident in Henne getting it done this season, but I'm not going to root against him. The way I see it, the only way this team has a failing season is if we get between 5 and 9 wins. You know, being mediocre like we have the passed 2 season.

If we are abysmal that puts us in position to get a franchise QB. If we do well and make the playoffs that most likely means we had good QB play and have found a QB.

I have absolutely no problem with criticism of Henne. Honestly, he sure has done more than enough to earn it. It's just the immature and ignorant way people do it on here. Saying things like "Henne blows" or "Henne sucks" is the way an 13 year old criticizes something. It's a black eye on our fan base. Hopefully the Mods will finally step in and fix it like they did with the stupid rhyme these exact same people came up with Sparano's name.

It's their opinion and they're entitled to it. It's no more childish than calling people "haters" because they don't think he's a good QB.

And yes everybody is entitled to their opinion, but you may want to give them the message. I can't think of a single time anybody has called themselves either a hater or a homer. I can, however, go back two pages and find you calling them exactly that:

Saying "Henne sucks," no matter how juvenile it is, is well within TOS, regardless how much you dislike it. Further, you seem to lump them in with those who have given well thought out critiques on why they don't think Henne is a good starting QB, which doesn't seem any more reasonable than simply saying "Henne sucks."

On a side note, if you see what you feel is a TOS violation, please report it.

I think that's a common misreading of a lot of fans' opinions. It's absolutely false to equate "I don't think he's a good starting QB" with "I'm hoping he fails."

Well I will give props to those who actually knew they'd be noted as not pulling for Henne under center. They've got more backbone than some of the deflectors with their manufactured outrage about the restrictions and biases of this poll. Without naming names I noticed that several of Henne's most strident and sometimes abusive detractors actually did vote and voted "team comes first." I purposely designed it with no wiggle room because as far as I'm concerned if you're not rooting for the starting player in the most pivotal roles to succeed - be it under center or lining up wherever on either side of the LOS, you are NOT rooting for the Fins to win and while you may be a fan in your own mind with all sorts of rationalizations, in mine and many others you're either fairweather or a superficial one.

Now I see there've been some "thanks" along the way from an individual who was the first to piz, moan and complain about this poll because they couldn't wiggle out of supporting Henne if he's starting while still supporting the team. They never did vote, although I noticed that that individual had no such hesitancy voting in the "Will Henne Succeed Poll". As such unless that person does vote before I screen capture and sum up these results for posterity (yes I said that), I will either photoshop text in an asterisk and put that name (and several other non-voters whose criticisms and complaints made it clear they were deflecting) under option 4 or 6 .. or maybe add another category - one I didn't anticipate called "Deflected from voting rather than supporting our starting QB under any conditions." That about sums it up, wouldn't you say bro? Just a heads up. :idk:

While I do love these non-anonymous polls I also suspect that if this one was anonymous there'd be at least double the number that cast their votes for options 4-6. (incidentally I believe one of those who voted in these options is a jestroll but I could be mistaken)
