The NFL can humble even the greatest football minds.
Bill Belichick's record as a NFL head coach before Tom Brady:
41 Wins -59 Losses
Now I keep hearing that Saban is the same as Belichick, the greatest mind in the game today. Would Belichick even have a head coaching job if not for that freak hit on Drew Bledsoe?

They have good teams this year, both are confident they will be back in the playoffs this year and as such have little inclination to talk smack. The Bills fans on the other hand know they gave up on the season when they named Losman starting QB and are now on overdrive to talk smack because once the season starts the records speak for themselves and they know they will be scraping the bottom of the afc east. They have one more month where they can honestly say that they weren't the worse. One more month and the universe rights itself and puts the Bills where they belong - face down, sucking dirt
adamprez2003 said:As for me indirectly insulting the Dolphins, that's an absurd statement. I personally am predicting an 8-8 season but wouldnt be surprised if we are 6-10. The Bills will be worse and its all gonna be due to their Oline problems and losman's growing pains. As for comparing Feeley/Frerotte to Losman I absolutely believe that at least for 2005 either Feeley or Frerotte will be better than Losman. 2006 is another story entirely. But for one year at least we will have the better QB
MadLib said:Its obvious your intention wasnt to insult your team. My point was that when you base the majority of your prediction off the question mark they have at QB, you have to consider the fact that we are also in a similar situation. Out of the three QBs (Losman, Feeley, and Frerotte), none has managed to become a stable starting QB in this league.

He develops his plays this way because he was a 12th round draft pick that had a good NFL career by learning how to use his talents to maximum advantage.
He has assembled a great staff:
Jerry Gray-Defensive Coordinator Had the #2 ranked Defense last year, 1st in Turnovers with a lot of games missed by Lawyer Milloy and Troy Vincent.
Tom Clements-Offensive Coordinator- Finalist for the Notre Dame job did a good job in his first year and we should see him earn his keep by easing JP Losman into the starting QB role this year.
Sam Wyche- QB's coach- Tutored Joe Montana and Boomer Esiason, now is working on his next pupil in JP Losman. Also led the Bengals to the Superbowl as a head coach and is still one of the most innovative offensive minds in the game.
Jim McNally-Offensive Line Again, one of the best in the business. One of the best teachers of line play, has taken castoffs and undrafted players throughout his career and turned them into good NFL players.
Bobby April-Special Teams Took one of the worst NFL special teams units and turned them into the #1 unit in his first year. The Bills scored 5 TD's on special teams including punt returns, kickoff returns, and blocked punts...something not seen since 1959 when the Chicago Cardinals registered 5 special teams TD's.
The thing that I like best about Mularkey so far is that he has a killer instinct. When we get someone down we don't just play not to lose we go for the kill. That's how the Bills had the largest average margin of victory in their wins for any team last year. After the slow start, the Bills beat up on every team not named Pittsburgh or New England.
This is the year we should really see Mularkey open it up. The first year was about setting the tone, installing his systems, etc. This is when we will see the crazy reverses, WR options, etc that we saw when he was the offensive coordinator at Pittsburgh.
BTW, if having a winning season in Mularkey's first year should make us wish for Wade Phillips back, will you ask for Dave Wannstedt back if Saban has a losing first year?!

I believe you will see major improvement in Feeley's game and Frerotte knows Linehan's system like the back of his hand. I don't believe its an outrageous position to believe that our QB position will be better than last year. It seems clear so far that Vernon Carey is looking good at LOT. If he pans out and James and Hadnot continue to play well we will only need one other player to step up to have at least a decent line. Two more and we'll have a good line. With protection both QBs should be able to get the ball downfield - something Losman wont be able to do (IMO) because of the hole at LOT and rookie growing pains. You may disagree with my assesment and that's fine, I realize Feeley's growth is not guaranteed but Im just voicing my opinion
adamprez2003 said:Besides the real point of the original post was why is it that Bills fans seem to be the ones talking smack and not Jets and Patriots fans? Why do you think that is
