Potential substance abuse suspensions due to Richie Incognito's texts...

I can't wait till marijuana becomes legal in Florida, so all these people can stfu already

I live in Seattle so it is needless to say I agree with you, but the NFL will suspend you for it even if it is legal in your state just ask the Broncos and the Seahawks. Hopefully the NFL changes it's policy on it in the near future.

Random drug testing should be illegal, but it isn't and all companies do it, even when it isn't so random. I'm sure that Pouncey will get tested if any further evidence comes out or at the very least he will have to explain his involvement and what all these texts mean.

Really, it's all hearsay. No real evidence in any of those texts.

Text by themselves may not get anyone suspended but like they say were there is smoke there's fire.....first thing they will do is ask them to come clean, if they don't the investigation will start and people will eventually talk....seeing that Pouncey is involved is not surprising at all....the only people here to blame is those who broke the rules, I hope they all get suspended, they all brought shame onto this once great franchise and until they are gone the stain will remain......

Fairly sure something illegal about forcing someone to undergo more than "normal" random drug testing because of here-say.

Then again, drug testing is pretty much illegal.:idk:

I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but drug testing for many is a condition of employment. In the NFL, it's likely covered in some way by the CBA, and I doubt very much, considering the investment teams make in players, that there's no provision for dealing with suspected drug abuse differently from just random testing.

Correct. Drug testing is a condition for employment.

It can also be considered illegal search and seizure and invasion of privacy.

In criminal cases maybe but this is a corporate investigation, and the NFL has a strict substance abuse policy. They haven't hesitated in the past to test potential perpetrators why would they now? There is even evidence (the texts messages) that give probable cause to him using banned substances. How much do you need? Does he have to get caught with a needle in his arm by Roger Goodell? Did Ricky Williams get caught multiple times for smoking in public? The answer is no and this situation seems no different.

actually, only Pouncey's house is involved so far. and that's only according to the text messages of two people that weren't there

That Urban Meyer,..he sure ran a tight ship at Florida, didn't he?......Tim Tebow could only cover so much up.

... This guy is the real rat. He is trying to save his own ass and dragging everyone down with him. After reading the texts that Incognito's agent recently released, there is a chance now Pouncey might get suspended and god knows who else.

If Martin gets called a rat for standing up for himself, Incognito is definitely a scumbag crybaby rat for putting all this info out that will only elongate this investigation and negatively impact the Miami Dolphins in 2014 but I bet you guys still think Martin in the wrong. **** them both.
So, considering that if Martin would've been able to hold his water in the presence of men,
you're saying that it's RI's fault?

Martin's not a rat. He's weak. I don't even know how else to say it.

RI's fighting to save himself, and I can't say I'm mad at him. He's smart
to burn the whole thing down behind him if he has to.

If he is the owner of said house than he is involved, doesn't mean he's guilty but connect the dots.....

Who is to say Pouncey actually does drugs? What if Pouncey was simply throwing a party where there so happened to be drugs at said party. Do the text messages clearly state Mike Pouncey does drugs? As for your initial point, Martin went and ran out on his team. Stand up for himself you say? Then why is his mother fighting his battles? Incognito never abandoned the team, he was forced out. Incognito handed over all of the text messages (ALL OF THEM) to prove Martin is no innocent being like his camp is trying to do. Those texts just happen to be in there. So if defending yourself and showing evidence that your accuser is also guilty is being a rat then idk what to say to yoou. Maybe Incognito should never handed over the texts and got rolled over when he clearly has evidence that defends him somewhat.
