Pouncey out

I think people are blowing this injury situation way out of proportion. I don't think it's that serious. Gase said Pouncey won't play Thursday. As of now he's expected to be back for the first game. If the diagnosis changes it's possible he could miss the first game. I think Gase just through the second part in there so the Seahawks won't know if Pouncey is playing or not.

Pouncey is just cashing paychecks as far as I am concerned.
His absence means nothing to the performance of the oline.
 
His NFL career is already on the downside.

The hip issue will end it soon enough.

If you extrapolate their September games to a 16 game season starting slow for them is the equivalent of a 10-6 record. I can't wait for the days when winning at a 10-6 clip is considered our down time.

It's my understanding that the cap savings for cutting Albert going forward isn't that much.
 
I thought albert had a like $10 mil cap number each of the next 2 years? As a solid left tackle i can handle that as a aging guard i dont think so

But i guess it would depend on what he looks like this year
 
I am actually excited to see Steen with the 1s. When Pouncey gets hurt this season (which seems inevitable since the Pounceys are made of glass), it will be nice to have someone who has experience with our starters. (I know he had a few last game, but more is better in this situation).
 
I don't lose sleep over Pouncey being the lineup. He was making Pro Bowls when nobody on this team could move a defender in the run game and was also the worst pass blocking team in the league. We looked better with Satele in the lineup and Pouncey OUT than we looked with Satele at center and Pouncey at guard or Pouncey at center and insert anyone else at guard.
 
How about Steen at Center amd Pouncy at RG? As long as Steen shows well. Pouncy was a better guard then center i felt

If Pouncey is healthy they will play him at center, not guard. They have what they consider guard and guard depth on the roster.

I just don't see the whole Poncey at guard thing happening again.
 
Well I do agree that Pouncy at Center has a clear tell as to when he is snapping the ball. The OL is better without him at Center
