Pouncey stressed out over bullygate

I'm not bothered by your opinions at all, just like I have said I am not bothered by Pouncey's. But hey, if you guys want to keep getting mad every other week about a picture Pouncey took a year ago, that's your call.

Yeah, nothing this team does can really make me angry any more. Years of crap football creates apathy more than anger. At this point, it's just entertaining to make fun of an idiot like Pouncey. But hey, he's a good center (should be the best in the league considering where he was drafted, but I digress), which should help us win a few Super Bowls.

As for the picture, it probably wouldn't hold any weight if he wasn't clearly still supporting an "alleged" murderer and all-around piece of **** like Hernandez. Since he is, it's just as valid now as it was when it first came to light. That Pouncey is the same Pouncey today.

Man I am sick of hearing about Pouncey stressing over anything, and his off-the-field BS.....be a man Mike. Take off the goofy I support Aaron Hernandez hat, pull your pants up, and just focus on your damn job. There are millions of people out there stressing out about not having a job, and not being able to pay their bills. These knuckleheads don't realize how good they have it.

still wondering why no one wants to bad mouth ray rice.

I still wish someone could actually give me details of Pouncey's and Jerry's role in the entire Martin/Incognito situation.

Caring about domestic abuse is a thing of the past. There are more important things to worry about these days, ie. bullying & homophobia.

Oh, so the only negative thing in the world is smacking a woman? Nothing else that happens is bad? You can do whatever you want so long as no women are hit.

Do tell, did you come to this conclusion before or after we traded Brandon Marshall to the Bears?

Undoubtedly Pouncey has a similar view, which is why he went sobbing to his brother. He just doesnt understand how the media can, like, ask him questions. He has it so rough. To unwind, maybe he can use the 15 grand the offensive line pocketed from Martin to purchase a car...which he can then in turn beat the **** out of.

Pouncey has a opinion who doesn"t. Its good IMO that he does care that others care about what they think of him. So far most of the stuff flying about him is basicaly verbal on his behalf based on him screwing around where he could be taking things more serious off the field. The best thing for Mike is to get out of town and find another team get this verbal abuse behind him which will probably net us a 3rd round late draft pick that we will probably waste in some future draft. Thats how you build a team!!

For the sake of hilarity, i decided to do a quick search on Ray Rice. Heres some of the topics i came across in something like 30 seconds:

My problem with Ray Rice news conference...

There were plenty of awkward moments during Ray Rice's news conference Friday, from the Baltimore Ravens running back saying "failure is not getting knocked down" (not the best choice of words for someone accused of knocking out his wife) to the times he nervously fumbled through his notes on his cell phone.

A few days removed from the news conference, my biggest problem with it was what Rice didn't say. He never apologized to his wife.

Rice apologized to Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, general manager Ozzie Newsome and coach John Harbaugh -- none of whom were in attendance. Somehow, he excluded the woman sitting to his right through this disastrous media session. Maybe he simply forgot. But this should have been at the top of his list of talking points.

This was the time for Rice to take accountability.

Ray Rice is an asshole and the Ravens couldn't care less

Rice Deserves Criticism; Ravens, Too

http://news.wypr.org/post/rice-deserves-criticism-ravens-too

John Harbaugh’s resolute message rings hollow regarding Ravens’ off-field incidents...

The press conference, and its general responses, were highly managed (no questions were allowed), but the team took a great deal of well-deserved flak for this missive from the Ravens’ official Twitter account:...

Presented out of context, it appeared that the team was trying to shift blame to the individual who was knocked out in the incident. This wasn’t helped by a story on the team’s official website in which a recap of the press conference brought up the subject of Ray Lewis’ alleged involvement in a double murder years ago, and how long it took Lewis to “change the narrative.” That story also referred to Mrs. Rice’s apology for her role in the incident, and made sure to say more than once that the security video which caught the incident was “grainy.” Rice, who didn’t apologize to his wife at the press conference, seemed to been seen as a temporary penitent in the court of public opinion, but hey, narratives are made to be broken.

Message sent? Justin Forsett takes reps over Ray Rice

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...-sent-justin-forsett-takes-reps-over-ray-rice

It should be noted that the "Message sent" article was written after the "Couldnt care less" article. Also, i didnt even attempt to dig back to when the video was first released, though i know for a fact that people wrote scathing editorials on Rice. Not that the objections were limited to articles from the dastardly media(!!!!), others were quick to take shots as well:

But hey, the media is too focused on Pouncey to bad mouth Ray Rice :sidelol:

Probably because this isn't RavensHeaven? Regardless, I haven't seen anybody say anything nice about Ray Rice, so "no one" is false.

Its not all over the media. Its not even a blip on the radar. its all under raps. but a guy who walks off a team is coddled while they badger Pouncey at any chance they can. That is what I am referring to.

Its called hypocrisy.

but all that has changed a little thanks to twitter and jonathan. lol

Yeah, this has been discussed ad nauseam on here. Hell, Spesh just shot down that false claim in a post before the one you responded to

Everyone seems to forget that Maurkice wore a Free Hernandez cap, as well. He and Mike were both allegedly close to Aaron. It is interesting that the Steelers successfully defused matters with their Pouncey but the media seem to take shot after shot after shot at Mike. The other day Mike was asked if he was embarrassed by last season and he responded "No" and then was asked about the psychiatric testing and he responded that he doesn't think that he needs it. Note, he was initially asked about last season, when he played well enough to make it to the Pro Bowl. He wasn't asked if he was embarrassed by the details that emerged from Jonathan Martin "Bullygate". I feel that Mike Pouncey just walked into a media trap and the pirannhas enjoyed the opportunity to savage him. He walked into a setup when he was walking off the field after practice.

The sophistication of the Lazor Offense means that Mike Pouncey has a lot of responsibility in the new system and he and the whole O-line have a challenge to come up to speed. I might be alone on this, but I think that we need to do a better job of keeping the media away from Mike Pouncey. He needs to focus simply on his football and do the mental health assessment when the time comes, which I would expect him to pass OK. (I would be worried about Richie Incognito passing it because I think he probably has some serious issues).

What emerges from Maurkice's comment is that Mike may be a whole lot more sensitive to criticism than most of us would have expected. If this is the case the Dolphins Media Director needs to control these situations better.
