Power Rankings

If you really want to be pesamistic and bash the Dolphins you could make a case for 26. Okay, so we have Gus Ferotte as our starting quarterback; we also have two beastly running backs, we have one of the best trips recievers groups in the NFL, we have a top five tight end, we have a quickly progressing offensive line, we have a high voltage, blitz happy defense and one of the best kick returners in the league.

...and there are 30 teams better than us?

BINGO.

Not to mention one of the most innovative play-calling offensive coordinators in Scott Linehan.

A lot of publications simply jump on headlines (our qb situation has been making them all lately) or simply use last years standings to pre rank teams (like every stupid nfl preview out there). This is simply a lack of homework in my opinion. We'll be bad, but others will obviously be worse.

How in the world do you put Packers and Bengals up there? I would take Boston over both of their 3rd WR's right now.

we moved down???? wtf i think we should be about 25-27 in rankings not 30th, thats bull

thats also a lot of bull, we should be 4th there, espn is smokine some serious crap :bong::ricky::friday::infins::redeye::drinker:

But I don't think we have shown everything that this team is going to be come the time it counts. I think we can all agree that we are "close" to being a good team. These power rankings never impressed me...

Donald Driver 84 1208 9
Robert Ferguson 24 367 1

Cincinnati Bengals
Chad Johnson 95 1274 9

Kelley Washington 31 378 3

Miami Dolphins
Chris Chambers 69 898 7
Marty Booker 50 638 4
David Boston ? ? ?

Its hard to take it seriously when they put a 8-8 Vikings team at No.4 ahead of the Falcons Steelers and Chargers..
Obviously a not to be taken seriously ranking.. especially since no game that has mattered has been played.

I dont mind the Rankings, i think we our schedule and our problems we'll be lucky to be better than any of the teams ahead of us. Of course by saying this when we actually ARE better than some of these teams it will be like exceeding expectations. At least if they ranked us 20th and we lost 12 games then people wouldn't think Saban did a poor job or something.

Arizona and Det also need to be considered. They just don't have QB's to get them the ball. People will also be talking about the Vikes WR's after a few games. They may not be the biggest names, but they'll have big numbers.

Now only if all that can happen at game time and at the same time it would be alright.:(
