Question about Gates burning our starting CBs...Is it more about them? Bad technique, too slow etc or just more about him...bottomline he's a badass

Not saying our corners are perfect. But they're still better and getting better than most. Pesonally i think it's just Gates being a badass.

I get that but gates is a rookie(hopefully with exceptional talent) isn't it a little disturbing regardless of his speed that he has been roasting our "starting" DBs?

The scouting report on GATES was that not only was he blazing fast, but he had soft hands and RAN VERY GOOD PATTERNS.

Not to me. Yes we have seen our corners get burned, but we have also seen them make great plays. I see it as VERY good. Hopefully it means that Gates is gonna be epic for us. Thats how i choose to see it.

Man I hope he makes the team and plays a lot of downs. He's going to add a lot of excitement "GATES IS WIDE OPEN", the question is can henne hit him and can he catch under the game time pressure.

both. they had one on ones last night. today he did it during 7 on 7 and 11 on 11s

u gotta expect him to burn will and sean smith. sean smith is more a press physical corner for taller wideouts and will allen is just plain old. he's more for nickel packages to cover the slot guy cuz he still has a quickness just doesnt have the speed. as for vontae, he kept up with gates. gates just had a stride on him and made an excellent catch over vontae. vontae did do his job tho and he pressed him at the line. im not worried about vontae not being able to cover those routes

If all of our wr were smoking our db's, I would be very concerned but Gates and Pruitt seem to be the only ones doing consistent damage downfield. I am not too concerned about our pass rush or db's.
