Props to O-line

McKinnie has been huge is helping save this season.....

The loss of both Martin and Incognito could have helped the overall culture of the unit....

+1 ....Much better without the two distractors

A little bad leaven ruins the whole loaf

The bigger issue with not resigning McKinney (if rumors are to be believed) is that Philbin wanted us to go after McKinney in free agency and Ireland said no.

As for the rest of the OL, Sam Brenner has earned a chance to be looked at as the starting LG going into next season. He didn't start the game yesterday but by the 2nd drive he was in.

Really like what I'm seeing out of Brenner. if he keeps this up, he may be a long term solution.

His blocking on the 55 yard Thomas run was nasty. ( same with Pouncey, but we expect that)

Brenner played a few series yesterday...He came in after Heyward was owning Garner and pushed Garner all the way back into Tannehill on one play. I thought Brenner did a better job on Heyward...which was surprising to me. Imagine how good he could be with a full off-season of weight training and getting stronger. Regardless though this O-line is going to get a complete makeover in the off-season. Hopefully Pouncey doesn't end up in jail and we're not starting from scratch.

I think the deal breaker with McKinney in the offseason was that he wanted a mult-year deal and Ireland only wanted to give him 1 year.

I'm not an Ireland hater (or lover), but I have 2 problems with that. First, if you need him this year, then why not commit to 2 years (like the Ravens did)? You can cut him later. Second, he made the McKinney trade a week late. It should have happened during the bye.

Anyway, I like the way the unit is performing and they are being helped by Tannehill. He finally seems to be scrambling when that internal alarm clock starts to buzz.

I think he was trying to make the McKinnie trade a week earlier. If you remember we had an open spot on the roster up until the day before the next game and then I think they promoted Kovacs from the practice squad. I think the issue may have been the Ravens were asking more than Ireland wanted to give them but we probably won't find that out.

As badly as Tyson Clabo struggled in the first few games, I'm impressed with the way he's refused to go in the tank.

He's playing fairly well right now.

I forgot he was on the team yesterday, which is a good thing of course!

as my friend said it best, "it's amazing what a ragtag O-Line can do when they don't have a dick and a ***** on the squad"

 Putting those two things together is great for entertainment, not so much for football.

no you dont understand. Ireland didnt get him in FA before so he sucks even though he got him later when available.

got it? making sense now? lol
You mean he was reactive instead of proactive? Got it.
