Props to Tannehill

He didn't underwhelm me tonight.

Did you even see that throw to Hartline that got us the game tying field goal? That underwhelmed you? What do you want from him? He played well tonight. He is a second year quarterback who many (including me) felt needed to sit for a year before being thrown into the fray. He just went out there and made some big time plays to beat a playoff team. He ran the offense well, he audibled out of bad plays, he was GREAT on the crunch time game-tying no timeouts drive.

I'm not underwhelmed.

Of course I saw it!! Have not missed a single game in 2 decades brother. He did a few things well no doubt. The game he had will win us very little games this year though. The D bailed us out big time. Not sure how anyone thinks any differently to be honest.

It's not an if and and but. Those are 10 guaranteed points when those guys do their jobs. But I'm tired of beating this point into you, you're just looking to argue and take some of the shine off of this great win. Enjoy your misery!

You are way off my friend and clearly don't know me or my intentions.

I saw the Bengals control the ball for literally 13 minutes in the third quarter. I saw a drive KILLED by a terrible pass interference call. I saw another drive KILLED by a terrible no-call. I saw yet another drive killed by the team's inability to convert third and inches (note: the ball was not in the QB's hands). I saw good play when it really mattered and I was having heart palpitations.

Defense played very well. Defense was the reason we won the football game. That's fact. But the QB still played well.

Throwing Int's, fumbling the ball, taking bad sacks or making dumb decisions are valid points of contention in his performance. When he doesn't do any of those things generalizing why the team only scored 22 without taking everything into consideration is a clear indicator of an inability to be objective.

You guys are wasting your time trying to debate against a bias like this.

I hear all your points man, and others....but what I saw mostly was an offense go 3 for 14 on third down. That's really bad man. The D gave us many chances to score...I'm not putting it all on Tanne either but rather the whole offense in general

Bias towards what?

I'm not underwhelmed.

Me neither, but I don't have a fantasy football team, so I'm not judging a QB solely by his fantasy points. I also understand that when his second half drives are entirely impeded by the refs, and the defense spends 13 minutes of the third quarter on the field and a significant portion of the 4th, it literally does not give the offense a chance to score points.

A very good game? Man our standards have become low....lol. Cheers on the win though!

Who had a better game against this D -- Tanny or Brady?

And Tanny did this with only two starting-caliber WRs -- and only one who is a playmaker. Zero playmaking TEs. A patchwork line... A journeyman RB and a one-dimensional RB. And a missed chip shot field goal and brain-dead fumbled ball going in for the score. 10 points easy left on the field -- none of them RTs fault.

Don't know how anyone can call themselves a Miami Dolphin fan and not see what Tanny did tonight. Props to a BIG TIME game from the Miami Dolphin QB!

Haters gonna hate. That is all.

I am not a hater at all bro and I have been a massive Dolphins fan my whole life. It would be fair to say that Tanne played fairly well considering that our offense is a mess. Sure. The problem is that our offense is a mess and that hinders what Tanne can do.

My guess would be Tannehill. Surprising because you normally are pretty objective but like I said, when you post generalizations without considering all factors it's normally because their is a bias influence.

Sounds like your back tracking into a more objective opinion.

Why is no one mentioning his tackle on the fumble return...nice open field play....Wheeler would have missed it

I'm sorry bro but Tannehill did very little to win this game. If someone would have told me that our defense was gonna force 4 turnovers and get a safety I would have pictured us winning by several scores...If Tannehill would have played really well we would have. Not hating...just pointing out the obvious.
Not Tannehill's fault, though, IMO. The defense couldn't get itself off the field on 3rd down. Cincinnati was 10 for 20 in 3rd down conversions, which gave them a ridiculous amount of plays from scrimmage on the night (over 90). Defense was gassed. Tannehill was put in the appropriate game manager role for once, IMO. You have to put him there while he develops, and hope your defense can do a better job than that on 3rd down.

I guess Alex Smith isn't going to win many games either then? Because this was a big time Alex Smith type of game and last time I looked they were 8-0. So far this year Ryan and the Dolphins are 4-0 when he has a QB rating of 90 or more. Not to mention he led us to at least 10 more points on the Miller fumble and missed FG. Nothing wrong with 30 points in 4 quarters!

Ryan Alex Smith Tannehill should be his new name - assuming we want to make the playoffs.
