Props to Tannehill

Who had a better game against this D -- Tanny or Brady?

And Tanny did this with only two starting-caliber WRs -- and only one who is a playmaker. Zero playmaking TEs. A patchwork line... A journeyman RB and a one-dimensional RB. And a missed chip shot field goal and brain-dead fumbled ball going in for the score. 10 points easy left on the field -- none of them RTs fault.

Don't know how anyone can call themselves a Miami Dolphin fan and not see what Tanny did tonight. Props to a BIG TIME game from the Miami Dolphin QB!

Haters gonna hate. That is all.

More than happy to answer this question for you. Tanne did, and that's with a grade A screwjob by the refs....again.

EDIT: not even joking those refs need to be fired.

miller fumbled at the 2 yard line or whatever, sturgis missed a gimme fg, hartline got called for a bs offensive pi on 3rd down that forced a punt, and pacman jones had an obvious pi that wasnt called that foced a punt.

Good points! Someone needs to remind Miller he runs a 4.3 40. He should have cut inside and outran everyone.

I'm sorry bro but Tannehill did very little to win this game. If someone would have told me that our defense was gonna force 4 turnovers and get a safety I would have pictured us winning by several scores...If Tannehill would have played really well we would have. Not hating...just pointing out the obvious.

Andy Dalton didn't do anything to help Cincy win the game. Is he not their QB now and of the future?

Weird that I just used myopic in another thread lol.

Anyway, he did ok. He wasn't asked to do much and he that's what he did. His game tying drive was nice, but it was against a prevent defense. He had chances to win it in overtime and he didn't. I'm not saying he was bad, but he was just ok.
The toe tapper to Hartline was the second best pass he threw this season. Not to many QBs can make that pass that perfect. The best was the PI to Wallace. But after getting sacked on 1st down on the final regulation drive and coming through on 2nd and sixteen says a lot.

Beat him up when he makes mistakes but pat him on the back when he plays well. He deserves a pat for the end of regulation drive.

Part of the reason for that was because they were tired. They gave up a long drive and then got a pick six and had to go right back out on the field. Once again they gave up a long drive and got scored on. Then the offense comes out and does nothing. The defense was gassed. They put up 9 points though and only gave up 20. That is a damn good performance.
Sure, but that's in large part because they gave up 10 of 20 third down conversions in the game, which is just a single percentage point better than the worst team in the league at that in general (51%):

He does and I'm not trying to beat him up. If that was a very good game for him though, then we are in trouble. I expect he will get better.

You don't really understand football, do you?

Andy Dalton is third all time behind Marino and Peyton for TD throws his first 2 years. I'd be pretty happy with that production.

Tannehill played a great "game manager" game IMO, and then he turned it on and did a good job of playing the position more aggressively when the team needed him to. This is precisely what a team needs to win with a developmental QB IMO. Manage the game and don't lose it yourself, and then if and when we need you to help us win it, step up.

You couple that with a good turnover margin and a good defense, and you can make the playoffs in this league, even with a game manager at QB you're trying to develop into a game-winner.

Not one bit. In fact I'm a complete moron in general. ;)

I saw that stat and I had no idea the Ginger Ninja has had production like that!

Tannehill helped win the game with that last drive in regulation. However the offense was pretty bad overall in the 2nd half and overtime. They got away from the running game again. When they did run they ran too much to the outside when the weakness in the Bengals defense was in the middle.

The offense needs to take accountability for stinking it up in the 2nd half of these last few games. The Defense bailed them out but we need the offense to play a lot better for a full game in order to go on a winning streak

Weird to have the high-powered Bengals not win the game even with Miami "stinking up the 2nd half".

I guess you're not capable of simple comprehension. We got 20 in 4 quarters. Tannehill EASILY got us to 10 more points if Sturgis doesn't miss a chip shot and Miller doesn't cut back inside and fumble at the 1. You see those are 10 more points. Those 10 plus the 20 we did score equals 30. Got it?

Tannehill led them to 13 pts if we're being mathematicians here. Though as you said, it should've been 23 with the Miller fumble and Sturgis missed FG.

Haha, I can tell. I'm joking, but the defense gave up 3 points in the first half. They gave up a drive in the second half and then had to turn around and do it again. That's part of the reason they were so bad on 3rd downs. Also the Bengals have Green and Bernard who are tough to tackle, and it's tougher once you get tired. Now on the night the defense had 5 sacks, 4 forced turnovers, scored 9 points, and gave up 20. It's not a dominant performance, but it's pretty darn good.

and factoring in OT, throw on a likely other 6 (no PAT needed) if Wallace wasn't tackled.

Playing the if game is never a good idea. There are too many on both sides, so it comes down to what actually happened.

I agree.. so why is anyone speculating how we'd have done if Gio and Geno didn't get hurt? It's part of the game and just as easy to counter with "what if Gibson didn't get hurt and Dmitri leave?" It all is what it is. And FWIW while I could be wrong, but while we're missing Keller and Gibson, and maybe Binns who looked sharp in TC, aside from Hawkins who was reinstated for the game, no pivotal players were missing so for me the "things would have been different if..." scenario is less acceptable than egregious ref interferences over the last 3 games including a non-call against the Ravens that would have put us into the same field goal range as the call against NE did the jets.
