Protect Ryan Tannehill or trade Cam Wake?

or Trade Tannehill for Wilson...we know that Seattle would be takers according to the fans on this forum. Or trade Tannehill for Jake Long and protect Pat Devlin:dance:

I see the Jests favorite fair weather fan is back. Now go back to TGG and leave the MIA fan base alone.

I assume you're being sarcastic, because I was. lol

O Line is doing Fine. It's Tannehill's responsibility to get the Ball out Quick. Just a reminder Dude, it was WAKE with the Game Winning Safety against the Bengals. Not a 4th Quarter Touch Down from Tannehill. Wake is Proven, Tannehill is not, we will see the next 4 games man.

Dick, it was RT throwing a 4th quarter td against Atlanta not Cam Wake. And I also wouldn't say the oline is doing fine...have they played better since Martina left and McKinney arrived, hell yes. And to be clear, I think it would be a HUGE mistake to get rid of Wake, you don't get rid of high quality, high character vet guys. Absolutely NO reason we cannot keep Cam and add a couple guys that can better protect our young qb and allow him to continue to get better.

I don't understand your logic... why is this an "either or" question? Why is trading Wake the only way to get a decent OL? I'm not with the WV crowd that mocks the importance of a good "cornfed" OL but other teams certainly have figured out ways to get a good OL without trading for it.

Because it's the question asked and protecting Tannehill is the only spot that I'd trade Cam Wake. I'm not saying we are going to do this. It's hypothetical. Just answer the question or leave it alone. But again, I'd trade the 31 year old Wake in a heartbeat if it bought back the most important need on our team- LT. I never stated that this is the only way to protect Tannehill. Some idiots are reading it this way but, that's you guys' problem.

These two things (Wake and Protecting a QB) are not related just because you decided they should be, so it is a waste of time. Don't trade Wake and protect the QB. Simple.

Well, on this thread, they are related, for the exact reason you stated........ I decided they should be and you are here providing legitimacy to my thread..... thank you. This is a message board where fans make up topics to discuss.
Now, why wouldn't you trade wake. Do you know enough to answer that question? I've explained why I'd trade Cam Wake in a heartbeat..... to fulfill the most important need on our team and nothing else. Why wouldn't you trade him?
Stay focused, concentrate, on this thread the choice was protect Tannehill or trade wake. If you don't like the question.....ignore it. But, the question was posted one way, answer it or move on. Simple.

Because it's the way the question was presented. Answer the question or move on. I'm not saying this is the only way to protect Tannehill. You guys are doing that. Just focus on the question.

Like Michael Strahan?

In a division that features Tom Brady, you do not get rid of a weapon that puts pressure on that player. BUF and the NYJ understand this, as they have went after DEFENSIVE pieces to get at Brady. Wake is a multiplier, he makes everyone else's job on the dline that much easier and effective. With a Dline that will lose Starks or Big Paul, you do not trade away your best play maker on Defense.

And this question was answered in the previous 31370987 threads.

If we lose one of Solai or Starks. If wake is traded, I can see both coming back. Even if one doesn't, Odrick is ready to step in for the lost player. If the choice was get a dominant LT by trading Wake or staying put, what do you do? This is the only option. We are ASSuming that we have extinguished every other option. AND I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THERE MAY BE OTHER WAYS TO SECURE PROTECTION FOR TANNEHILL.

Then I choose protect Tannehill and NOT trade Cameron Wake. (I don't think that is what you meant from the title...but that's the way you worded it...)

Exactly how he worded it. For someone who has insulted others and even tried to take shots at their wives the least they can do is properly word their question. Bottom line if you wanna be a prick you better be an accuracte prick.

I want to start off by saying I know that madden is not real life.

When I play the season mode in madden I will usually trade Wake after the first season but only because I get a first round pick. That being said there is no way we get a first round pick for Wake so I don't see a good reason to trade him.

Given the option listed in the title, I would rather Protect Ryan Tannehill than trade Cam Wake.

Thank you. The trade would depend on what we'd get in return but, if we get an all pro LT in return, i'd do it. Fast.

Ok, since some of you intelligent people can't seem to understand the options- what is more important to the team- Ryan Tannehills protection or Can Wakes pass rush ability? If the answer is RTs protection, a trade of Can Wake to protect RT is the smart thing to do. If you think Wake's pass rush ability is more important, then trading Wake is dumb. I think protecting RT is the most important issue on this team and everybody is tradable to achieve this.

Trade Wake would be a bad move. The guy is a keystone for our defense and I don't see a potential fair trade at this moment. I mean the guy is one of the best pass rushers in the league but nobody is willing to give up a pair of first round picks for a guy Ireland found playing in Canada.

So the thing is everyone is available at the right price but Wake's more valuable to Miami than elsewhere, so he must stay and pass protection should come from different sources.

Keep Wake. We have him on a ridiculously friendly contract. It's the GM's job to find a damn LT in the draft to avoid these exact situations. Get an OT in the draft. Period.

Bingo we have a WINNER :-)
