He just has to be consistent.
Thats the key.
IMHO the most important thing he can do to win over people is to be cool when the heat is on.
Last year he really gave off a bad impression that when the time for reckoning comes, he folds.
He doesn't have to engineer a million 4th quarter comebacks, but if he can go out and deliver a few wins against teams that we 'should' be losing too (by deliver I mean not relying on pure defense alone to squeek out a 13-7 victory) and/or engineer a couple (not 4-5, just a few) of game winning drives, instead of panicking game ending INTs. I am pretty sure you'll start to see people coming around and warming up to him finally.
