Addressing more than 100 fans at a Dolphins Touchdown Club luncheon, a confident Henne spoke about his growth, his relationship with receiver Brandon Marshall and the team’s more aggressive offensive approach.

“There are a lot of things I can do with this offense,” he said. “There is no turning back.”

Henne, who had a splendid 93.4 quarterback rating in the preseason, has been buoyed not only by the bolder offensive philosophy, but also by the trust that offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has placed in him to change plays when needed.

“Brian Daboll puts a lot on my shoulders — puts everything on me,” he told hosts Joe Rose and Kim Bokamper. “He says, ‘If you see something, get us into the right play and make it go. And if it doesn’t work, we’ll come back the next play and make it work.’

Talked the talk Henne, now let's walk the walk! Show us you've REALLY turned it around! Do it when it counts! Consistency!

First mission: kick some ***** on the Patriot defense!

Let the sparks fly Finheaven...........

Pretty much all of us have had a pretty negative opinion of Chad heading into the season. At the end of the day, he's still a Miami Dolphin, and this fanbase will have his back as long as he's starting for us. Go prove us wrong.

I think Henne will take a big step forward this year. He may not, but certainly a lot of things are pointing in that direction now.

The position most affected by mental growth is Qb.

Stay Confident Henne, even after you throw some picks

Man...im so hyped about this game.im contemplating starting henne over rodgers in my week 1 fantasy football! well not right now.lol but I did draft henne...I have quite a bit of confidence that he will do well this yr.

what i like is henne said daboll is giving him flexibility to change a play and
if henne audibles and it doesn't work no big deal we get them the next play..

You cant ask for more encouragement and henne can control his destiny now..

Im going to be a really happy person is Henne become our franchise QB. Im going to be understanding if he doesnt.

Imagine going to work every day and your 70-year-old boss telling you "I'm going to keep it real simple for you today. I don't believe in you and you'll probably screw it up, but just try not to make too many mistakes will you? If you don't get it 100% right, we'll just dumb it down again the next time until you don't do a single thing wrong. I don't care how those other little a**holes are doing their job with modern methods, you'll do it the old-fashioned way or not at all. Now go out there and try not to F*** it all up".

Chad Henne in 2010. When every day was a living, waking, hellish nightmare.

henne getting the ball out quickly. Which means he knows this offense well. Will he make mistakes and lesser choices? Of course he will. Brady and manning do it all the time. They just shrug it off and come back at you.

Thats what this offense has changed to. 3rd and long now is not so difficult to overcome now with no wildcat BS.

I mean, think about the frigging wildcat for just a second and how that just stopped henne. That alone sucked for henne. No more of that crap.

You have no idea how frustrated I was watching Henne handcuffed at the line of scrimmage by that Dinosaur Henning.

I mean come on, Henne will never have the quickest release in football or mobility but you tell everyone how much football smarts this guy has and then take that one supposed strength away at the line of scrimmage. It made no sense at all to me.

Henne supporter or Henne hater there are zero excuses after this season. Zero.

I believe he can do the job and always have believe that. Of course if he doesn't play good on monday the haters will say that he still sucks. Is only one game and you're playing one of the best team of the last 10 years. I am so hoping he proves the doubters wrong.

Ozzy rules!!

I think that you nailed it. Henning had been creative in the first two years in Miami and was closer to Parcells than anyone else on the coaching staff. But his uber-conservative playcalling became predictable and smashed the hell out of Henne's confidence. If (and it's a big if) Chad can completely come back, it will make him mentally stronger having survived the Henning experience.

The haters will criticize him even if he throw 5 tds and no ints. That is why they are haters, but there are far fewer haters on this site than you think.
