Psssst...Hey Henne.....your confidence is showing!

I just wish we had an easier matchup in his first game....going against a Belicheat D to open the season is not easy, would love to have 2-3 games before playing our Division....but it is what it is and time for talking is over, gotta do it on the field....

I know he really couldn't be much worse....but Henne will be better this year. I see 3700 yds, 28 Td's to 16 int's.......

He will make some bad judgement calls no doubt but I believe he will win us games on his shoulders this season.

I believe he can do the job and always have believe that. Of course if he doesn't play good on monday the haters will say that he still sucks. Is only one game and you're playing one of the best team of the last 10 years. I am so hoping he proves the doubters wrong.

Ozzy rules!!

I guess they (the "haters") could respond by saying the "homers" would still think he's a good QB and just find more excuses if he throws 5 ings and no tds, but that would just be childish, right?

Confidence: it's a good thing but also a fragile transient condition. Hopefully a few good outings out of the box will serve to reinforce it.

I don't think any Henne Bashers or Boosters would disagree that half way to winning the battle is that "ya gotta believe it to conceive it"

I think if Henne throws 5 int's in this outing he's pretty much ****ed it up for himself. Homer or not that is not acceptable. The Homers have Henne's back on contingent terms: he cannot play like last year in this QB friendly offense.

But if he throws 2, you also gotta admit that the HenneRainmen and Pavlovians will be out OCD'ing and drooling 5 mins after the game.

Ha that is very true. It's what they're on this site for. If Henne goes 5 td's and 2 int's they will dwell on the two picks.

He probably won't. That doesn't mean his overall INTs will go down much.

In the current offensive scheme, he's going to throw much more than before. He's going to throw more aggresively. And he's going to be in more dangerous situations. His luck will even out, but he's still going to throw around 18 INTs this year. But his TDs are going to shoot up (I've been thinking 27 realistic, 30 optimistic) so you have to take the good with the bad.

I agree that he probably won't play like last year just based off of the new offensive schemes. It's a system that is meant to be very pass happy so there will be more pass attempts. Brees throw a mad amount of picks every year, but the way the offense is set up he also throws a massive amount of TD's. If Henne can be consistent and make a good portion of his throws he will naturally be better than last year. He just has to be consistent.

Man...im so hyped about this game.im contemplating starting henne over rodgers in my week 1 fantasy football! well not right now.lol but I did draft henne...I have quite a bit of confidence that he will do well this yr.

Well I am going to start Henne over Flacco. To me this is like a no brainer.

Yknow he controls his own destiny here my only concern is the protection right now. We will see I think we all
want him to succeed

Pretty much all of us have had a pretty negative opinion of Chad heading into the season. At the end of the day, he's still a Miami Dolphin, and this fanbase will have his back as long as he's starting for us. Go prove us wrong.

There are a good amount of us that were not falling for the "Henne had a bad season in 2010, so he must be garbage" spiel, and this entire off-season we were vocal about it.

This is not to say we thought he was great, and could not fail, but we knew the talent was there, and with a new offense, or at least a coordinator that worked with him, not against him, he could succeed.

Now he needs to prove everyone that didn't believe in him wrong.

I think Henne can be a pretty good system QB, not sure he can take a team on his back and make it win but he doesnt need to be that guy over here with the defense being top 10 and some playmakers on offense. we're not built like the colts where if our franchise QB cant go... we're fkd...

It's not haters as much as objective. Hype is hype and recognizing that Henne is good for a few good games and then some really stinky ones... is what has many not so pumped. Now Im pumped for the season and always root for the team, and Henne will be rooted for all the way. I 'want' him to be Dan Marino... but the reality will set in... and he will likely be Drew Bledsoe. Even if he improves with Bush and the better supporting cast... when he starts throwing the "ints"... we "will" start getting antsy.

Having said that... if he can throw "ints" and still pull 350 yards with 'more' TDs than ints and the "win"... he can throw the ints and I'll still be satisfied. But just cautious right now. I have to wait and see a few games how he performs. I just saw too much last year that made me want to throw up. I'm hoping a lot of it was Henning... but just not sure "all" of it was....

No question of it all being Henning. Henne has to shoulder responsibility for last year. But he has had the conditions created around him to allow him to progress substantially. I don't know if it'll be enough for a playoff...
