Puouncy looked good last night

I recorded the game last night and watched every play at least 8 times and Pouncy is going to be a beast. he routinely manhandled his man all night. It didn't show in the running game because the back side dlinemen were sliding down and making the tackle. The guards and tackles need to hold their blockes longer and we'll be fine.
 
The guy is going to be great we all thought Vontae Davis was a awful pick.

One thing I noticed is how fast he is.
 
How is it that nobody on the line got any push on any run play, yet I read all over the place about (insert individual player here) not being that bad on the line.

Not a single good run block for the first quarter....

A poster on another thread stated that the Falcons were run blitzing quite a bit. So it seems they weren't just running vanilla, base defensive schemes. The Phins stuck with their base offense and right into the run blitzes.
Bottom line, every coach approaches these games a little differently. The Falcons appeared to open up their offense a little too, including an end around to Jones.
I think too many people are making way too much of this game.

Just because they didn't have any big run doesn't mean no one got any push. The online has to work as a unit and if one player misses a block or fails to hold their block long enough the entire running play fails. Pouncy got good push and also got out on the LB's, The question is will the oline be able to work as a cohesive unit?

Actually I am married with 4 kids work a full time job repair computers on the side and coach little league football so I have plenty going on but it takes about the same amount of time as it takes to watch a full game as I have the luxury of skipping all of the commercials. Now mind your own damn business son!. LOL j/k bro
