I don't think you can point to any one thing that Feeley has or doesn't have that makes him the loser in this QB competition. I think the main thing to take from it is he's just not ready to win this competition. He's not. Gus is. In AJ's defense though, Gus hasn't been ready to put away a slam dunk on a QB competition like this until pretty late in his career (lets face it he beat Heath Shuler because Shuler blows).
AJ will learn from this and one day be able to take the reins, unless he just takes bitterness from this experience and tries to jump ship. If he does the latter, he will be showing an immaturity that merely proves he was not ready to be our QB.
