Not sure why people are high in Francis. He hasn't shown me anything at all. Edds either.

Alama-Francis is a Strong Side OLB, his job is different than that of Spears and so is Edds who plays inside.

Let's not forget that Edds is coming off of injury in which he missed last season and maybe you haven't been watching him but I have and he's done pretty well especially in coverage.

I might be mistaken but I believe Spears has been playing on the strong side, no?

Anyway, as others have said, as I said a long time ago, I see Spears as a guy that SHOULD make the team.

I don't believe Miami should let this one get away. He has a natural pass rush ability to him that is too valuable. I'm not high on Jason Taylor as our pass rush specialist.

Actually they rushed him from both sides yesterday. He had a near sack from the strong side when they initially ruled a fumble and then he got a sack from the weak side.

Just the fact that Spears might give us 8-10 years, vs 1 season for JT, is enough of a factor for me...I´d gamble

In previous games he was restricted to the left side only, is that what happened here? Was he just rushing from the left side and that maybe explains why he was weak side on one play and strong side on another?

Thanks for the insight. I really haven't paid attention to Edds in pass coverage so you raise a very good point there. I just have seen him look a bit weak against the run. Could be the injury still hampering him a bit.
