As for McMike, let's see how it all plays out. So far, it's a he-said, she-said thing that ended with his wife having blood on her mouth. But it doesn't look good, and in any event, he certainly shouldn't have put himself in that situation.
I think the difference with Elam is that his actions are (as far as we know) in the past and were resolved before we ever contemplating the possibility of speculating on whether we should scout him. McMike's woes are ongoing. Whether or not he is abusive, his actions are forming a distracting and disruptive pattern.
