Ramsey Trade Becoming Problematic?

That's why I put it in italics. I didn't think it would go to an actual court. Just wasn't sure what the specific process was. I guess my question was since everyone here seems to think it's a given he's already faked an injury in Jacksonville -- if he does it again here, could that possibly give us a fighting chance in arbitration?
My guess is probably not.

If you look at the process, the NFL commissioner (or his appointee) is the arbitrator.

At first glance, one might think that would be to the team's benefit. It really isn't. As a collective, the owners are deathly afraid of pi$$ing of the NFLPA. Better to sacrifice one team a few million dollars than to have the union be irritated for the next CBA negotiations.

IOW, it becomes a matter of "politics" instead of right or fair.

Expedience before justice, as they say

Well, that kind of depends on one's mindset going in.

If one thought it was the right time for a "reset", moving on from Tua, etc. then yeah it was unnecessary and made no sense.

If one was thinking "make a run at it", then it made sense.

Opinions vary on that, but I see ppl all the time that want to go "all in" year after year.
I understand why they did reek, the kind of season he was coming off of. But Ramsey made no sense. But alas, the toothpaste is already out of the tube and it is what it is.
