Ramsey Trade Becoming Problematic?

At this point I would just trade him somewhere he doesn't want to go out of spite.

I was looking at teams with the most available cap space.

The Packers have the 6th most cap space at $35.5M.

They released Alexander so they need DB help.

It doesn't seem like we are going to get much in return no matter where we trade him anyway.

With them supposedly being a contender, they might make the trade to address a weakness.

The main thing we should want is the salary cap relief so long as they take on his contract we just get a future 7th round pick.

Then use the cap savings to extend Sieler and Smith.

Maybe sign a veteran FA DB or wait until one gets cut prior to the start of the season.

DB is just going to be a weakness this upcoming season. There is nothing we can do about that now.

Just do nothing with Ramsey, eat the money, you blew it, and just watch his career end on the bench. Salary cap problem doesn’t really matter when you’re a bottom feeder. Send a message and move on.

Still no deal. See article below. If there was a big market for Ramsey, he would be gone by now. I think time is not in Miami's favor. The more time that goes by, the more the league knows there is not a market for him. The problem is not the player as much as it is the contract. It seems that to move Ramsey at this point, we will have to eat money and not get much at all in return, maybe a 7th rounder for optics or something of that ilk. Then the problem becomes, what do you do? Embarrass ourselves with a nothing deal, or hold on to Ramsey, when he doesn't want to be here. He can just sort of half-ass it on the field, and be a cancer in the locker room, because he doesn't want to be here, which is also a problem. So what do you do? Then at the same time, they are in a similar boat, with less $ at stake with Jonnu Smith. And I am not sure what exactly is going on with Seiler. There is always something with these guys. It never feels clean and smooth, for lack of a better way to describe the operation here:

You're always on some dumb ****, dude.

Rickey shooting his shot…. Hopefully it’s an empty netter.

If you look down the Twitter thread Kyle crabbs gives this support. It prob is in the works. I did hear the Steelers are lowballing teams with trade requests this off season I hate trading with them. We prob get a 6 round pick and still pay his contract. Lol. Ugh.

Steelers are def going for it with Rodgers.
They got slay porter as corners. That d will be scary.

Ramsey will have a great attitude did Tomlin. I hate that team.

Considering his record of annual injuries, I think it's best that we avoided him altogether.
This was my thinking too, until I saw the amount he signed for. Even if they only get 8 games out of him, he won't hit the incentives and only cost around 500k per week played.

Plus he'll be 29 next off-season, angling for one more big deal. As a result, I think he'll miraculously stay healthy this year, give the Ravens some good play, and move on. If he cashes in big, the Ravens could even gain a decent comp pick.

These athletes need to stop signing contracts they don’t intend to honor. Our military sign a much cheaper contract and sometimes give their lives for it. They don’t get let out of their contract for not liking their boss or coworkers. Translation: athletes ain’t shi+
Military people can get out during basic training. It’s called. Entry-Level Separation, and we had at least 3 guys use it when I went through basic training.

This situation is SO weird. And they’re all being so quiet about it.

It’s like he ****ed MM or CG wife or something,

I don't think it's weird at all. Ramsey is an aging asshole who teams don't think is worth $20M per season and they would be correct based on his play last season. Pretty simple really.

Partly true. The military doesn’t have to let the recruit out. They will typically do it because who wants a quitter and whiner, but it’s not an easy or common thing, much less assured. And if they are allowed to leave they can get an other than honorable discharge.

Put that mofo on the IR or practice squad. At this point we should just trade him for nothing. And fine the sh$t out of him.
