Randy Mac arrested in Augusta, GA......

I was really hoping Saban could help get rid of these off the field issues.

What's he going to do, chaperone them everywhere they go?

He's in the midst of getting rid of problems like this, but it takes time. Right now, if I'm right, he's on his way to trading a franchised Randy McMichael next year after he has a breakout season in Linehan's offense and plays out the final year of his contract. Hopefully, we'll get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him.
 
With Wannstedt/Spielman Randy McMichael would have NEVER got a contract extension because of this kind of crap. They didn't like Randy's attitude.

Saban lets a lot of this stuff slide if a guy can play. But this is hard to ignore since it seems to be a yearly thing now.

IMO let Randy play out this season and send him on his way. This guy is a piece of crap. With Randy and Ricky its tough to root for these guys on the field because of their off the field problems.
 
here we go again, I've been holding my breathe all off season, hoping that it wouldn't fall apart like it did last year.....................

Before all the conservatives go off...lets be real...most athletes are self indulged morons who think they can get away with anything...thing is about 60% of the league is that way?? So either let it be or get used to wasting your breathe!

Nobody will trade for him. And Miami won't franchise him because then they are gonna get stuck paying him. Nobody spends big bucks on tight ends.

But this isn't his first time. The first time an athlete does this, ok, your theory I can buy into. But its not even a year later and the idiot made the same mistake.

Last time I checked, the first time Randy Mac got put in the pokey for spousal abuse was under the WannSpiel reign, and they didn't do anything to him at all.

If anything Saban has done more than WannSpiel ever did to "send a message" to any players over extracurricular activities by cutting Quentin Williams right away. The only guy Wanny ever did that to was Daryl Gardener, and that was because DG ticked him off by not returning phone calls while he was on vacation.

They didn't like him for OTHER reasons. More his on the field antics and lack of professionalism.

if no one spends big bucks on tight ends then Miami would have no problem putting the franchise tags on him.

Actually it was because Zach/JT went crying to Wanny saying how they didn't like him and wanted him gone.
