Wow, I appreciate your respect and willingness to try to see the good in things. I am like that myself.

However, how many times is this gonna have to happen for you to see he is being abusive?

I too was abused and watched my sisters and mom abused. I know how my father "ACCIDENTALLY" hit or bumped into everyone.

The fact of the matter is it always starts off on both sides as being accidental. Had he not been making all this money he would be in jail. I am not saying because of the legal department not doing their job, I am saying because his wife will have already pressed charges on him.

The quicker football play actually comes the better for the dolphins. The offseason is killing you guys. The fins need to get back into the public eye by their play, not as a result of all this garbage.
 
Well once is a mistake, twice is a trend. He's simply not worth resigning for a huge contract. He's probaly gone now. Shame he was on the verge of being one of the best at his position and being highly paid. He probaly cost himself literally like 10-15million for this altercation. I really don't want an idiot that doesnt understand things like this. If my wife is pushing my buttons, I just stop for a second, think about how much money Im going to make and just let it go. No excuse for anyone hitting his wife, but for someone with this much at stake to do it just shows an extreme problem. This guy is damaged good plain and simple now.

I know all about "spousal abuse"......

This incident just does not justify that term.

This is exactly why I'm not comfortable with labeling Randy a "wifebeater" and relegating him to the scum of the earth. To me, its like saying this is what spousal abuse really is...and that other stuff you see in movies, that doesn't really happen.

it occurs to me WC that you might, just might, allow coach Saban more than ten mins. to make a decision here before you attack his behavior.
 
Honestly for all you "fans", if you don't know the truth, stay out of it. Randy is not an off the field problem, let it be at that.

You might know your Mothers bad situation, but that does not mean you know this one. Come on...I bet this soft piece of cardboard slipped from his had too. Or she actually pulled it from him and hit herself. She sounds like a ***** from hell but why is he with her? Move on already...he is hooked and it will continue. I don't know of any such relationships that ever got better over time.

It is an abusive situation and he is part of it. OJ was never convicted either.
Not only is it abusive but there is a pattern of abusive behavior. And there could be many incidents we have never heard of. Actions become habits. Habits become Character. Good Character beats beats Bad Character and we are trying to build a winning team according to our new savior coach from college.

By all means I'm not attacking Saban. I asked if Saban's justice is blind to those with more important roles on his team. We will soon find out.

If he did abuse his wife, that is an off the field problem in my book.

Exactly. People are ready to kick one of our more talented players to the curb. I wonder if some of you would treat your friends this way if they had a problem.

Me, I would try to help that friend in any way possible. I'm sure McMichael's friends and family will do the same for him.

I disagree. I think we've had a GREAT offseason. The two arrests are just minor bumps in the road in the grand scheme of things.

But I agree, we need football back already. :)

Youhave a point.

However I will say this, like I said if those witnesses are telling the truth yes he is an abuser and he is scum.

If there recolection of the incident isn't accurate then you can just chalk it up as a smi-harmless lovers quarrel.

I am not labeling him anything yet. If he did it he is scum, if he didn't do it the way it's depicted then the guy just has anger problems.

Now to those of you trying to justify his side and say how wives can't be abusive either. Ummm, he is a pro athlete, he is stronger then her so there in no way would be a fair fight.

Did you know that if you are a blackbelt in martial arts and you get into a simple fight in a bar and use your martial arts and kill or severely hurt the guy you will be the one getting charged even if it was self defense?

When you are in a superior position and use your skills or strength in a way that can obviously harm a inferior opposition you are considered a lethal weapon.

So it's not sexist. It's just the fact that he has no business hitting her. It's one thing to try and restrain her and it's another if you hurt her from shoving or pushing her off you but in no way do you ever hit or punch or attack her.
