Randy vs Ricky

Watch the 60 min interview! He considers candy more dangerous than drugs. Read between the lines.
 I remember him saying that about Candy. If you haven't seen the interview, then you don't even really know the mentality of Ricky. He is a nut.

A guy who is willing to dishonor his wedding vows and beat his wife could just as easily choose to dishonor his contract. McMichael could very well do what Ricky did. I doubt Ricky Williams would beat a woman (knowing his disorder, personality and strong beliefs).
A lot of you people despise Ricky for **** he did a year ago and love McMichael because he plays well. Well, that's a horrible double standard. Yes, Ricky quit on his team but Randy's a wife-beater. Which would you rather have your kids try to emulate? I hope Saban does something. He probably won't cut him but he needs to find a way to get the message across: "don't **** with me, I don't take this kind of thing."

I wouldn't invite either one over to dinner or have my son emulate them. But in terms of the worse violation against the team it's RW hands down. Short of killing a teammate there isn't a much worse violation you can do to a team. That's the point I believe all the RW supporters never understood.

Read between the lines is just another way of saying you made it up, or chose to take whatever you had already determined the comments to mean. The guy doesn't endorse drug use.

Is the team more important than your family? That's the point I'm trying to make.

That's very true. Endorsing drug use would be appearing on the cover of High Times magazine, and I'm sure he got offers.

being under the influence of a controlled substance is against the law, and that makes u a law breaker, which is basically another word for criminal

beating ur wife is a horrible thing to do, and he should have to give up some cash, do some community service, or if worst comes to worst, get some time.

Agreed. I guess I am taking the lesser of two evils in that case, which is the marijuana use. I don't condone that either.

Of course not, but that has nothing to do with the Dolphins. What RW did was a capital crime in football terms. Beating your wife, while horrible in life has very little to do with football. My point is that not wanting RW on the team is simply a recognition that he is a horrible teammate and that horrible teammates rarely help form championship teams. Mcmichael's offense will never be viewed as a betrayal by the team. In football terms it's a public blackeye and even a possible suspension, it's a negative, but not much more. I just don't see why people claim hypocracy.

Wasn't Dillon considered a horrible teammate until last year? Seems helping a team win can go a long way...

Well, the original post mentioned people willing to forgive Randy but not Ricky. It doesn't specify whether he means football or real life. As far as football goes, I don't care. Both are talented and can help my dolphins win. As far as life goes, I can more easily forgive Ricky because I know his head's not right.

Yes, but nowhere near as bad a teammate as RW.

Sometimes you guys are too much. I gave McMichael the benefit of the doubt the first time, but not now. And some of you guys are still saying Ricky is as bad or worse than Randy. It almost makes me ashamed to be a member of this boaed.
Yes, Ricky let down the team because he retired at the wrong time and got caught smoking a little pot. That is nothing compared to what McMichael did. I don't even want his punk azz on this team anymore. I would stand up and shake Ricky hands and treat him like a man long before I would Randy's. All you guys defending McMichael, stop for a second and think about if it was Brady, or Spikes or Pennington, or whoever. Take the aqua and orange glasses off and just think about this a human being, not a Dolphins fan...........................Now tell me who the worse person is. Yeah, that's what I thought.

I'm making the assumption that the original poster was referring to football forgiveness since this is the talk Dolphins football section.
