Rant about changing QB's to take advantage of opposing D's weakness

Supposedly Dave's been quoted saying that we'll switch our QB's to suit opposing teams weaknesses.

We all know after only 1/2 of a regular season that Feeley can throw the ball. We also watched him scramble a little. 21 for 31 in one half against the titans is astounding. Especially when you consider that he hasn't even played n a game in over 20 months.

On the flip side, after 4 years I'm still trying to figure out what Fiedlers strengths are. He can't throw for cr@ap. And when he does throw, the passes tend to be incomplete or int's.

So with that said, I guess my question is: What skills does Fiedler posess that wil make the opposing defense make mistakes? Oh wait I know, he can hand off the ball and he can also scramble pretty good.

I'm going cross-eyed trying to make sense of the switching QB's thing.
 
If Dave does this he'll not only be the joke of the league cause everybody knows the offensive players need timing but he'll also be out of a job by week 6.
 
I doubt this will happen unless Aj takes too many chances and turns the ball over too much. You have to remember Dave is gonna play it safe. He always has,unfortuneately.
 
If Feeley wants the job, he'll win it easily this weekend. Dave is stupid but if AJ throws for 200+ yards and 2+ TD's he's not going to start Jay the next week. But if AJ throws 3 INT's and 75 yards with no TD's...then of course Dave is going to be thinking about how both qb's suck.
 
I hope we're all right. I hope Feeley comes out tossing the rock for over 300 yards and 2 td's or more. I love seeing that laser beam pass.

But, I think with Dave's recent trend of lunacy. Inside of his little simian brain, Fiedler might play better against Pitt's D. I guarantee you he'll still wait until Monday to anounce the starter.

I watched the weekly wrap-up on the Nfl CHannel yesterday. 16 coaches were shown giving their conferences after losing this last weekend. Only Wannstedt seemed like he should be on suicide watch. Isn't 50 % of the NFL at .000 wins right now?

Isn't all this nonsense about bashing Wanny going too far? We've no progressed to ranting about what he MIGHT do? People are jumping all over what Wanny said, well he also said this:

The SI comments (I think) were made before the start of the season when people were pressing him to name a starter.

Why doesn't everyone just wait to see what actually happens? That way if you don't like it, we only have to read rants about it once..... If it doesn't happen, we won't have to read any rants at all.

Already the Wanny 'predicters' have been wrong. Many ranting posts claimed that Wanny would stick with Jay no matter what. Well?????
 
Like I said in another thread, Wanny will do this only til the point one establishes himself. By week 4 or 5 at the latest we will have 1 qb. Even Wanny cannot be that stupid.

WANNY IS THAT STUPID..THIS IS THE COUNT DOWN TO A TOP 10 PICK AND THE DAWN OF A NEW COACH!!
 
Well, if we play against a team that struggles with weak-armed QB's that are very innacurate then we will start Jay.
 
Dave Wannstedt said "you have to throw the ball to win in this league" and "I don't believe in throwing the ball" in the same press conference. The guy is a moron, that's all there is to it. We've got a good Coaching staff, good players, good GM. But our Head Coach is probably the worst in the league.
 
The Bengals game is significant in that this is the first time in Jay's tenure here he hasn't started when he wasn't injured. I don't think the 2 QB can work long-term but until one emerges (hopefully AJ) Wanny's keeping his options open.
 
The last thing Dave is going to do is rotate Feeley / Fielder on a weekly basis. That would be the most foolish thing he could do. I'm sure after Dave sees what Feeley can do with an entire game in his hands, he'll make his decision, and stick with it for better or worse....

Feeley can't be any worse than Fielder, and he brings much more to this offense IMO. Even when / if he makes mistakes, he'll make up for them with his big play potential. The payoff is greater with Feeley at the helm...

:D It would be GREAT to see a 300+ yard game for the Fins QB again...

This week is AJ's shot at starting for the year, he can get the job if he plays SMART and well...:rolleyes:
 
Ok, Wanny called Parcells for advice and follows it to the letter.

I must ask....who the hell is coaching this team? Is Parcells performing an unprecedented dual role as the HC for two teams?

This has to be nucking futs!!!
