Ravens beating Detroit did not hurt us at all.

Since the Bengals lost last night, this game simply didnt matter. If we lose another game, we still would need Baltimore to lose to either NE or Cinci even if they had lost tonight. This game simply wasnt important. In fact, if you look at it a certain way, the Ravens winning tonight actually works in our favor a bit.

We still get in if we beat the Bills and Jests thanks to the Bengals losing last night. With the Ravens and Bengals playing in the final week, one of them must lose. Or in the off chance they tie, we still get in at 10-6.

All this Ravens win did was pretty much kill any chance we had to back in at 8-8, but who wanted to get in that way. Should we lose to the Bills and Jests we dont deserve to get in.

This actually sets up nicely with the times of next weeks games as well...............

If we beat Buffalo, root for Baltimore to beat NE and the Chargers to win. Both of those games are at 4pm. We will know if we have won or lost when those games are starting.

IF we lose to Buffalo, our division chances are officially over and we root for NE to beat Baltimore. Simple as that.

A win next week will be huge. I have no fear of losing to the Jests at home in the last game. If we beat Buffalo we can sit back and root like hell for Baltimore and San Diego, knowing we just need to win to get in the last week. A Baltimore win would give us a shot to win the division still(although unlikely) and should Baltimore lose then we know we would just need a San Diego win in the last week over KC(who should be locked into the 5 seed).

Next weeks game is so huge. Its time to beat the sorry ass Bills. Im so sick of losing to them.

I'm tired of "if's". While I want the playoffs just as much as anyone here, we shouldn't be in this position right now. They have nobody to blame but themselves. We should be 10-3 and hold the tie breaker over Baltimore.

Now more than ever we see what this team is made of. Last week was a huge step in the right direction but let's see if these guys buy in and can keep the momentum up when every game is a must win.

The Ravens beating the Lions took away margin of error. If the Ravens had lost, they'd be 7-7 with tough games against NE & Cincy coming up. Very possible that they could have finished 7-9 or 8-8, which would have then given Miami an opportunity to make the playoffs at 9-7. That looks very unlikely now.

The thing I fear is playing the Ravens in the playoffs. If Baltimore wins the division, that means we will play them in Round 1. The Ravens have bounced the Dolphins out of the first round of the playoffs the past 2 times they have made the playoffs... In all honesty, that is the team the Dolphins match up with the WORST of all the AFC teams in the playoffs.

Yeah but it would be fairly favorbale for fins to clinch next week. Fins with a win against Bills would just need a loss from ravens OR a loss from bengals. Now the fins to clinch next week, the fins would need a win and the RAvens and Bengals to both lose. eh, possible, but I'm not so sure of the fhances of bengals losing at home though the vikings are tougher now

Yes, they haven't clinched a playoff spot yet. If they lose out, chances are they would be out of the playoffs. That isn't happening though. No chance they lose to the Bills in finale.

I'd actually love to see NE get in as the 3rd seed and us as the 6th and us beat them in their own back yard. THAT would be a VERY satisfying win and almost super bowl esque.

I agree with much of what you said. I still wanted Baltimore to lose.

But, you do realize how it didnt effect us at all. Most do not seem to. Even if the Ravens had lost this game, we would still need them to lose another game to an AFC opponent in the event we lose one of our remaining 2 games. And if we win the last 2, it simply dosent matter what they do. This win did not effect us. I dont get why everyone is obsessing about it.

And while it is unlikely the Pats lose at home to the Bills in week 17, why not root for the Ravens next week if we have already won our game? It certainly does not hurt us if the Ravens win in the event we have already beaten Buffalo at 1pm. All it would do is keep a slim possibility alive for us to win the division and HOST a playoff game instead of being the 6 seed. Huge advantage. Hell, we still may have a shot at the 2 seed going into 4pm on Sunday if we beat the Bills.
