Ravens beating Detroit did not hurt us at all.

if there was ever a year for that to change it's this year. the patriots are vulnerable and the bills have a good matchup for them. and for us unfortunately. If you're worried about the bills beating us, then why aren't you worried about the bills beating the patriots?

Because Miami has had a history for like the past 6 seasons or so of having tough games against the bills and usually losing one game against the Bills. It seems like every season or every other season the Bills and Fins split. So the Bills have the history of beating miami whereas, the 16-1 record for patriouts indicates that the Bills don't have any history of beating the pats. We'll see, any given sunday, but because of this history, Bills do seem to have a better chance of beating miami than the patriots. Pats have the Bills number, miami doesn't
the jets had our number for years also. that eventually changed. you just don't know with football. just because something is a trend doesnt' mean it'll remain that way or last.

I don't care about backing in to the playoffs. Backing in would be delightful. There's nothing more overrated than momentum. I can't count how many bets I've won against fraudulent teams that just happened to own so-called momentum entering the playoffs. The important aspect is to be strong in the correct categories.

Be careful in wishing for Cincinnati. I realize that's the common subjective viewpoint. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has by far the best YPPA Differential of the teams we are likely to face in the first round. A team with numbers like that is likely to perform beyond the subjective consensus, as long as they are reasonably healthy.

I wish we could play the Chiefs. That team is the candidate to flop, regardless of their regular season record or obvious intensity and confidence levels. The YPPA Differential is a net negative, which is disastrous in January. Your faults are exposed.

We'll probably play tight to anyone. Only games I could see getting out of hand are at Cincinnati or at Denver.

so there is no scenario possibly now whereby the ravens over lions kept us out? that would prove 'does not hurt us at all'.

I'm tired of "if's". While I want the playoffs just as much as anyone here, we shouldn't be in this position right now. They have nobody to blame but themselves. We should be 10-3 and hold the tie breaker over Baltimore.

Now more than ever we see what this team is made of. Last week was a huge step in the right direction but let's see if these guys buy in and can keep the momentum up when every game is a must win.

Refs didn't want it that way...

According to ESPN's playoff machine, Phins would still be in the 2 seed. Either the Pats or Bengals would be the 6th seed, depending on how the Bengals do in week 16.

If the Colts do end up going 10-6, its because the Chiefs knocked them around next week. Which would probably lead to KC ending up with a 13-3 record...and the 5th seed. And i thought we couldnt catch a break

For those that dont know about the playoff machine:

I was messing around with it at work today.

There is a scenario for the Pats that has them going into week 17 where if they beat the Bills they are the 2 seed and should they lose they are eliminated completely. Thats wild. Shows you how close all of these teams are and how brutal a loss can be in a game you should win. 2 seed or nothing. Wow. Pretty sick.

The difference in being the 2 seed and not making the playoffs is a home loss to the Bills in their case.

In our case, it seems a home loss to the Bills could be the difference in being the 2 seed or the 6 seed. Pretty damn brutal. What a crushing defeat.

Also, if Ryan Tannehill balls out like a ****ing boss like he did vs. the Pats, we arent losing to anyone in the next 3 weeks.

Why not? New Englands weakness is a good pass rush (bills are top 5), weakness is good run game (bills have that). Bills can beat an over-achieving pats team.

Miamidolphins odds of making the playoffs dropped by 21 percent , per espn, 87 to 66

OK, OK, OK!!!!

I FORGOT about the bunglers' loss to Pittsburgh.

But I will tell you this, and I feel pretty safe about it. The ravens will win out. :rolleyes2: Watch. They never give up. That team just always seems to do whatever hurts us the most.

I know it is said that if we win our final two we are in, but what if Cincy wins this week, Baltimore wins this week, they play the final week all four quarters and go to overtime and wind up tied. Won't they both be 10-5-1, and beat us out at 10-6? I know it only happens once in a blue moon, but there was a tie this year wasn't there?

How can Baltimore be 10-5-1 if they already have 6 losses? If Cinci and Baltimore tie that game, Cinci would be 10-5-1, Baltimore would be 9-6-1 (assuming they both win week 16). If we win our last two, we'd clinch the final playoff berth at 10-6 and Baltimore would be the odd one left out.

I didn't know they already have 6 losses. I should have though they have the same record as we do. Thanks.
