Nice article.

SHows how Harrison wasn't a very good WR until Marvin came into the league "ironically" (for the Chamber haters) and how Reggie wayne was prob a bust considering he was a 1st round WR n almost had only 100 yards more receiving then our number 4 3rd round WR hagans and you guys call hagan a bust? our board is VERYYYYYYYYYY PATHETIC. Ya'll need to stop bitching and give things in life especially our players on this team time.

Harrison ^^

I already showed you guys many links about LT, Harrison, Wayne, RW, and RB along with CC and how our young guns are doing the same if not slightly better considering the situations on hand then many of the current greats that just got BETTER QB's and O Line to come into play after a few years already on teh team.

a quote from an article... "Last season wide receiver Chris Chambers had a sensational year hauling in a career high 82 receptions for 1,118 yards and 11 touchdowns. After six seasons he is now schooled; he has refined his game and added a mental edge to his elite physical tools."

See how BS this media crap is? has ntn to do with any of those reeasons he gave. its all play calling and QB that come to WR success's besides CJ that was just good of the bat.

A simple test:

Here are a list of the offensive skill position players on the Dolphins:

QB Daunte Culpepper
RB Ronnie Brown
TE Randy McMichael
WR Chris Chambers
WR Marty Booker
WR Wes Welker

{Shotgun Formation}

If you were playing in a fantasy league, how many players would you take before the above players at their positions? I can at least name five per position:

QB: Manning, Palmer, Brees, Brady, Bulger
RB: Tomlinson, Johnson, Alexander, Bush, Jones-Drew
TE: Gates, Gonzalez, Shockey, Heap, LJ Smith,
WR: Holt, Harrison, Ward, Fitzgerald, Boldin, TO, Wayne, Santana Moss, Coles, Javon Walker

(I added more receivers for emotional impact)

It's not that the Dolphins players aren't talented. They are not talented enough to carry a team. It's not about bandwagons, its about lack of production. You can say Ronnie Brown doesn't receive enough carries, which is a legitimate complaint. I can't excuse the lack of production from the other positions.

tell me...just how many years...and how many millions does chambers deserve to get? at what point to you cut his pay or his person?

I agree with all positions except running back. Based on a decision for "next year" I would prefer Ronnie Brown to all the runners except LT. Johnson may have peaked from overuse (and not a factor in the playoff loss against the Colts), Alexander is a product of great blocking. His stats fell off dramatically this year after Hutchinson left. Bush & Drew are certainly exciting and have more big play ability than Ronnie, but they're not guys that project 20-25 carries a game for the season. No question were hurting at WR, QB, & even TE compared to those mentioned.

Shaun Alexander had an injury... But ok... You don't like those RBs... I'll add others...

Jamal Lewis, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, Steven Jackson, Willie Parker, Deuce McCallister, Frank Gore...

Ronnie isn't sniffing a top 10 ranking...

There are no Bears on that list either and they are in the super bowl. Its not about having superstars on your team...its about having a team that plays together and plays hard. Also, the offensive and defensive lines are key. Without good blocking it doesnt matter what stars we have at the skill positions.

Wow Nick, you've got some cahones showing your face around here.

That's funny, but if Saban didn't call out Chambers by calling him 'decent' I seriously doubt he would have had that pro-bowl year.

Let's be realistic. Booker was outplaying him until Saban said that, just like Booker outplayed him again last year.

Chambers is a slot reciever. We need a #1...

The difference is Harrison and Wayne catch just about everything thrown to them, especially big plays. Chambers can't catch a cold on a regular basis and Hagan had way too many drops as well. So I guess hating a WR because he can't catch clearly defines my stance as a Chambers hater.

Well, if you didn't include inferior running backs in your top 10, then he would be.

ronnie brown is definately a top ten back.

He is far better than most if not all of those idiots you listed on your last list.

willis mcgahee... are you kidding me.

All very good to great RBs, but I agree with Zonk4ever, I would rather have Ronnie, over all the RBs you have mentioned.

Ronnie if used right (Which was not the case last year) can beat you many ways, while each of those RBs are great at one or two things, Ronnie on the other hand can (Or actually should) run the ball 20-25 times a game for power and speed, can become a lethal Weapon out of the backfield catching the ball, can stay behind and do a very good job blocking, or if you choose, has shown he is able to throw a pretty catchable ball if asked to.
