Oh great... The good 'ol "Time will tell" line again.
I've been hearing that every stinking year for God know how long!!!

Time has told me that a change is in order.

I really dont want any more excuses why they decided signing Richard Marhshall was more important than Eric Winston, very siumilar contracts but Winston has been a good player for years while Marshall played well last year and has been pretty bad prior to last season

Does anyone know or have any clue what the normal amount of "dead cap space" in the NFL is? All this article sounds like to me is "I couldn't take my kids to Disney world because i spent all my money for it on strippers." Previous terrible cap moves can explain why you won't spend money, but they are not a valid/acceptable excuse.

every team has dead cap space. it would be interesting to see the breakdown though. as far as extending players prior to free agency to make room under this year's cap: #1 did we identify the need for the free money at that time. and #2 did we make offers to extend which were rejected? just because you offer a player an extension doesn't mean they and their agent are going to accept. if we were going to sign more players in free agency, it would have been nice to have freed up some of that money, but as of now it doesn't really concern me.
