Really sad and deeply disappointing (yet another blown season)

Remember the feeling right after the 70-30 blowout of the Broncos last year?

Right after that game was the best moment I can remember, in my entire life of being a Dolphins fan.

I don't really have a point, it just came to mind.

How sad has this whole downfall been since that afternoon....

This franchise needs a massive change in culture, philosophy, talent acquisition, and expectations. The entire collective face of everyone in the org, from Grier, to McDaniel, to Tua, to Tyreek, to the assistant coaches is 'we are content to be decent.' There is no one driving this entire franchise to go from good to great. Additionally the team as built is not built for the AFC East. I'm sick and tired of the South Beach excuse. The entire operation needs a rudder that drives the highest of expectations in every area of the business, on and off the field. Certainly this has not been seen on the field for far too many regimes, drafts and rosters.
Common denominator: Ross.

I don’t disagree. We need a change. I just don’t think it’s as bad as some think. We have a talented roster.
Yes, I made that point in another thread. You can’t trade everyone, you have to keep your young talented players, and Waddle is one of them.
I let Holland walk, it’s clear he’s taking it ez to avoid injury so he can score his second contract.
We’re top heavy with talent at the finesse positions, it’s time to build from the inside out and spread the money around for depth

Yes I’d let holland walk. I’m not a fan of waddle. But we are stuck with him

I really don’t understand Hollands regression. No idea what the hell happened.

I’m with you on Waddle. Guy is supremely talented but he’s more fragile than Tua and his hands just aren’t that good. Average at best really. He’s really more of an elite #2 than he is a #1. It is what it is with him. He still helps the team a lot more than he hurts it but his salary is rough. Just gotta live with it regardless and hope he takes a step up.

Yet if we had a backup qb we would be on pace to have 11 wins. We also lost two games on the last play of the game. It’s not that serious I promise
I get what you're saying but keep in mind we're 5-5 with Tua playing this year. This team has a lot of holes and Tua can’t cover them all

Maybe. It's two different styles. I think McDaniel can X and O with anyone in football, but if the execution is lacking, that could very well be a motivational thing. Campbell scores 10 out of 10 on motivation, but proves time and time again he might not be the smartest in the room.

If a team can find a happy medium, they will strike gold.
Comparing Mike McDaniel with Dan Campbell is a cardinal sin.

Like others stated, I did not have high expectations going into the season because of the leadership issues with the Dolphins. I do not understand how Owner Steven Ross is successful in his business ventures. If he ran his corporations like he operates the Miami Dolphins, he would be destitute! Perhaps, he views the success of the Dolphins not upon the wins or losses, but by the increased valuation of the team. Please Mr. Ross, get rid of Grier and the rest of his minions and build this franchise back to greatness.

Ross could fix a lot of stuff just by hiring a new GM from the outside and let the new GM pick his HC. The biggest problem with Ross has been that he's never cleaned house. Always done it halfway ....fire the HC but kept the GM.....then fired the GM but kept the HC and on and on.....he must go outside of the building to get a new GM/HC
Agreed, but he’s so old, you think he has it in him to start over?

Just hire somebody and make them accountable

That’s the issue
No accountability required at any level in this franchise

I see other franchises GB comes to mind that actually address failure with the fan base
We just get snubbed
Accountability sure, definitely important. but also a culture and team construction of toughness. That’s been lacking here for a long time. We once had the toughness, but not a good enough QB. I think Tua’s decent enough to win with, but if you can run the ball with power in short yardage situations and convert more third downs, and consequently stop teams on the other side of the ball, then you’re not going to win in this league. Those teams including GB all know how to build tough minded teams who can play with power and confidence.
