Maybe someone waiting for their shot in the wings of those teams? How realistic is it to assume we could get a new GM from one of those locations?
It seems unlikely to me.

They can turn it around quick. If we get an OL or someone who knows how to start an OL. We can just spend money and late round picks on defense. How are you doing Big Nasty? Haven't seen you much, over the past couple of seasons.
I'm right there with you, being as disappointed as ever. But have to admit, I wasn't very confident going into the season, to begin with. I predicted a 7 win season and it appears the overall regression will be a multi year repair.
I would have to disagree on HC again. OC yes, but you can bet the HC at that team would "curb" MickeyD's offense somewhat. He'll be an OC someplace for next season and then a HC again in a year or two. He is thought of very highly in the league, nonetheless.
They did. Anthony Weaver, but unlike some on here, I am not ready for him to be our HC.For ****sakes, hire someone from Pittsburgh or Baltimore!!!!
That would be an Addition by Subtraction!I'd love to see Grier and McDaniel get booted out of Miami and get hired by Buffalo.![]()
When you own an NFL team you can basically print your own money. And you don't get super rich without caring a LOT about money. Ross is laughing all the way to the bank despite all of his hiring/interfering blunders.Like others stated, I did not have high expectations going into the season because of the leadership issues with the Dolphins. I do not understand how Owner Steven Ross is successful in his business ventures. If he ran his corporations like he operates the Miami Dolphins, he would be destitute! Perhaps, he views the success of the Dolphins not upon the wins or losses, but by the increased valuation of the team. Please Mr. Ross, get rid of Grier and the rest of his minions and build this franchise back to greatness.
I agree. Goes much farther than players. Overall, the way the team is run, which starts with the HC + GM. I am all for sh*tcanning both of them and getting a new GM. Let him pick the HC. Look at the Eagles + Chiefs staff for that GM guy.I just think our problems go way deeper than that. There’s a long list of issues aside from player acquisition that go deep. I wish a guard, rookie and rb would make us a playoff team but game prep, practice, game management, play calling, adjustments, coaching retention (Crossman) etc are the core problem. I mean Reek is still not on the same page as Tua in what year three? We have deep deep issues man
Anyone not named Grier. I don't like ANY of the teams he has built in Miami. None of them!OK, who do you feel should be our next GM?
Until you can give a meaningful answer to that question, you are just throwing mud on the wall to see what sticks.
1-16 vs. playoff teams over the last 2 seasons.................It's not that serious!!??Yet if we had a backup qb we would be on pace to have 11 wins. We also lost two games on the last play of the game. It’s not that serious I promise
Now the Broncos are playoff-bound and we are 1-16 vs. playoff teams over the last 2 seasons. What a fall.Remember the feeling right after the 70-30 blowout of the Broncos last year?
Right after that game was the best moment I can remember, in my entire life of being a Dolphins fan.
I don't really have a point, it just came to mind.
How sad has this whole downfall been since that afternoon....

A lot of his sacks and pressures are a result of scheme, Campbell and Poyer both chip blocked his guy freeing him up this past week to get to the QB.Sieler is the #2 ranked interior Defensive Lineman in sack production.

I hope for the new GM + new HC, but am not optimistic Ross feels the same. They both probably get another season, which will be painful to watch. We will be fixing the engine and forgetting about the gas.
See Grier going and team finally getting a GM that knows the importance of the guys up front especially the OL. Think it will be upgraded along with additional upgrades but be in that similar situation of being close enough to be excited but surely let down Again due to a HC, who's inadequate understanding of how to build, run and lead a NFL team will put us back in the traditionally normal situation of just not being good enough for real success.
Like I've been saying the last several years how the OL clearly could be our down fall, realize even a good OL under this HC's program will end up being again quite disappointing.
Though added inefficiencies have been exposed to the casual watchers.
McD. stays ( which will be the Dolphins usual lack of insight ) will just waste another year for them to possibly figure out and I for one will wisely become even less attached, for I Finally get it...
I know, who gives a crap. JMO
HC lack of insight is as clear to see as the Importance which was neglected for a OL the past several years.
New HC is a MUST and hopefully fingers crossed the new GM will realize this ridiculously clear problem and remedy it.......I hope, I hope
One of his sacks was a stunt where he pulled to the left and went through an open hole. Regardless of scheme, Sieler is a keeper. Good player, high motor. If we let him go, he will be snapped up.A lot of his sacks and pressures are a result of scheme, Campbell and Poyer both chip blocked his guy freeing him up this past week to get to the QB.
