Really? When will people shut up about this?

Just from the top 25 guards in the nfl right now:

Brandon Fusco, G, Vikings, played at Slippery Rock as a Tackle, then switched to center. Played 3 games at guard his rookie year(2011), and then all 16 games the following year and 15 last year.

Todd Herremans, G, Eagles, played at Saginaw Valley, out of 48 games, he played 40 at right and left tackle in college. Although he started only 4 games his rookie year at OT(2005), he was then switched to guard in 2006.

(already mentioned) Jahri Evans, G, Saints, played at Bloomsburg, played all of college at tackle, drafted and started all 16 games and two playoff games his rookie year. and was named to the Pro Football Weekly All-Rookie Team.

Again, that was from a top 25 list I found online. Something else I came across, is that most all of the top 25 guards in the league, played tackle in college, whether it be at a division I or small school.

Good post man you took the research further then I did

i never said jordan was a bust after 1 year nick, i said if hes as bad this year as he was last year he'll be considered a colossal bust.

Shameful that NFL.com is still running with an idea that was a complete fabrication by Jason La Canfora. There was no truth to it, like there was no truth to La Canfora's story months ago that Miami was also working on trading Wallace and Wake.

If you remember, initially La Canfora had said that Jordan was going to be traded because the Dolphins wanted to trade up to draft a LEFT tackle. Then Miami signed Albert, and the LEFT tackle part sort of slipped away from his lie. Then it became because he wasn't a a Hickey pick and not a good fit. He even retweeted someone who said that by the time the draft comes, Jordan will be traded and all Dolphins fans would owe Jason an apology. Now the draft came and went, now it is "oh, this could be a Summer trade". lol. Get out of here with this garbage.

While La Canfora was saying Jordan, Wallace and Wake would be traded before the draft, other writers and reporters were giggling at how ridiculous his reporting was. The team even denied his reporting and no other reporter every said what he did. Now we know he made the whole thing up and there was zero truth to it. La Canfora quietly slithered away and no repercussions from CBS for his poor reporting. Shamefull this guy keeps getting away with things like this. In 2012 after drafting Tannehill, he said Miami would be drafting another first round QB in 2013. He picked Miami to lose every game last season, then made up these trade rumors that are still being talked about.

even though i lost a lot of respect for LaCanfora the last few years, especially after his twitter meltdown last year , but anyways no way in hell can you say that the trade rumors between philly and miami are false

Why not? He was the only one reporting it. When other reporters were asked, they said they never heard the things Jason was saying. Now I do believe the Philly reporter who mentioned that the Eagles made an offer of 2nd round pick and a player, but the Dolphins declined it. I think that is where the talks started and ended, being all one sided by the Eagles trying to pry him away. I don't think for one second that La Canfora is truthful in his statements that Miami was actively shopping Jordan, Wake and Wallace. He made that up.

some people think we should ask for 2 firsts for a guy who did nothing last year and was never dominant in college? only on finheaven

Uhm, how do you think the guy ended up being rated as the best defensive prospect in an entire draft class after his NCAA career? Was that all a factor of "never being dominant in college"? Your post deserves 1,000,000 of these things: :bobdole:

Still.....

Theres zero chance at this point. The only trade this team might make is with Matt moore and that is highly unlikely
I think that we've got 5 or 6 good WRs and teams like Carolina and Cleveland are extremely thin at that position. I could see us trading a WR.

Which guy? Hartline or gibson make the most sense. Although I am a big hartline fan. Mathews wouldnt fetch much and wallace is completely untradeable

I was going to post this yesterday, but im so tired of it. its stupid. why give up on a guy with so much upside, and proved it in the limited opportunities he had last year

I don't know what the hell some of you where watching last year, but Jordan was far from horrible. Does he need work hell yes, but the guy has so much upside its not even funny. he can rush, and cover? sign me up all day

Because he didn't prove it in the limited opportunities he had last season. And because the fact that he had limited opportunities and was the number 3 pick in the entire draft speaks volumes about how disappointing his career has been. Number three picks in the entire draft are starters. From day 1. The fact that he was number 4 on the depth chart at his position while he was the number three pick in the draft screams volumes. It screams that we either have the most clueless coaching staff in the history of the NFL or the guy's first season was an absolute bust. I think it was the latter.

I disagree, I thought he made an impact when given the opportunity. I think he has huge upside potential...time will tell.

some people think we should ask for 2 firsts for a guy who did nothing last year and was never dominant in college? only on finheaven......dion jordan has all the pressure in the world on him this year cause if hes as bad as he was last year he's not gonna get a free pass, maybe on finheaven he will but in real life hes gonna be considered a bust and one of the worst picks in dolphin history, and that is saying something!
not sure if you're just looking at a stat sheet when you say Jordan was bad in 2013 but check out these 2 links to see why people rate him so high:

you watched the games man, what did he do to impress you? he had the hit on matt ryan late in the game and he hit flacco and caused a pick 6. thats a handful of plays from the #3 overall pick and a guy you traded a high 2 to move up and get. are the standards that low around here? someone said my post desreves a million fu's because i point out the obvious and im an idiot cause this guy had 1 sack all year(the sack against clev was bs)? if jordan has 2 sacks this year what are you gonna say rent this space? and id love to know how hes gonna get a ton of sacks when he has zero pass rush moves or instincts to be a dominant pass rusher.

what philben wanted was to trade a number 2 pick for Albert and that number 2 got traded for Jordan. the other number 2 took a CB that required surgery and could not play.
