Really? When will people shut up about this?

you watched the games man, what did he do to impress you? he had the hit on matt ryan late in the game and he hit flacco and caused a pick 6. thats a handful of plays from the #3 overall pick and a guy you traded a high 2 to move up and get. are the standards that low around here? someone said my post desreves a million fu's because i point out the obvious and im an idiot cause this guy had 1 sack all year(the sack against clev was bs)? if jordan has 2 sacks this year what are you gonna say rent this space? and id love to know how hes gonna get a ton of sacks when he has zero pass rush moves or instincts to be a dominant pass rusher.
I was impressed by his ability to cover TE's like Graham, Gates and Gronkowski. He did very well against the league's best. I also like how he can line up at many spots both on the D-line and behind it. His length and athleticism gives the QB's smaller areas to throw into. we saw several huge plays made in limited snaps.
oh, and I guarantee, barring injury, Dion Jordan will have more than 2 sacks this year.

Re-read my post, literally everything I said was in response to you saying he "never dominant in college". I said nothing about his injury ridden rookie year in the NFL. I responded by asking how would he be the highest rated defensive prospect in the draft if that was so? Your comment made absolutely no sense. Players get selected high because of their dominance in college, yet somehow to you he wasn't and was touted as a top 5 prospect.

I guess ":bobdole:" = "F@&% You". Logic clearly makes sense there.

Here's what I don't get on Jordan. He was not really just an Ireland pick. Posted and confirmed by direct quotes many a time, Ireland had dinner with Ross, Philbin. and coaches before the draft, and they all wanted Jordan more than anyone in the draft. Ireland got him, not paying much, and last year coaches did not use him. I give them the benefit of the doubt until this year, as there were injury problems.

However IF Hickey does not like him, where is his connection with Philbin and Coyle who wanted him? IF they cannot firure out how to use him, the blame is on them, and not Ireland.

Totally agree. Not only that, people forget just how amazing value the trade up was. We moved from #9, up 6 places to #3 for pick #42 (I know the value chart is outdated, but for reference 480 points).

Buffalo moved up also from #9, but only 5 places to #4. They paid next year's first rounder and fourth rounder (value chart - 1100 points)

According to Ross, Jordan was the player the coaches wanted. If the conspiracy theorists want a target, I guess it's possible that Ross was the guy who wanted Jordan and his version of how the dinner went down was exaggerated or even made up. But, on the face of it, why wouldn't it be true? Jordan is a freak.

He played way better than some think he played. Getting rid of one of our few elite potential players, who cost us comparatively little, at one of the most important positions on the field, when we have a 32-year-old DE ho we rely on heavily for edge pressure and our history of TEs torching us in coverage is as gospel as the 10 commandments.... just wow if you want to trade him for a fattie or a never-was pass rusher.

afc east i have no clue what you are talking about...what i made a grammatical error and that was your point? i made no sense cause of that? wow. yeah take my fu logic and stick it you know where.... is the grammar understandable enough for you now?

Isn't starting a thread about it the same as writing an article about it?

I believe we actually moved up from 12 to 3. Even better...

You never clarified it was a typo, genius.
